Richard Dimbleby re-opens Television's Window on the World.
Seasons
Season 3
Starting on 19th September 1955, Richard Dimbleby took over as the presenter of Panorama bringing you “ Television’s Window on the World” according to the Radio Times.
Continuing the weekly listings paper went on “Every Monday in this programme film and television cameras focus on events and personalities of the moment.” The show originated from the BBC Television Studios in London, with contributions from Outside Broadcast units, Regional Studios, and the BBC Film Unit.

Season 2
The second season of Panorama began on the 20th of October. Similar to the first year, it was described as “a fortnightly topical magazine” by the Radio Times of the day. Again introduced by Max Robertson the series ran from the end of 1954 until the middle of 1955, ending on the 10th of August.

Season 1
Panorama began broadcasting on 11th November 1953 as a fortnightly show. Described by the Radio Times of the day as a “reflection of the contemporary scene” it included reviews of the contemporary arts as well as featuring documentary pieces.
The first season of Panorama concluded its run on 4th August 1954

Secret Eaters
Secret Eaters is a British documentary television series about overeating. It is shown on Channel 4 and presented by Anna Richardson. With their permission, people with eating habit problems are videoed in their home over a week. The subjects do not suspect that private investigators are also following and videoing them elsewhere. At the end of the week, the true amount of what the subjects have eaten is revealed. The subjects are given some days to change their habits, and are brought back, showing considerable weight loss. This drama is intercut with a separate short story where the presenter and food experts test some factor causing overeating.
Apple Pie
Ginger-Nell Hollyhock is a single and lonely hairdresser who lives in Kansas City, Missouri during the Great Depression year of 1933. When Ginger-Nell places classified ads in the local newspapers, she recruits a group of wacky relatives - a con-man husband, Fast Eddie Murtaugh; a tap-dancing daughter, Anna Marie Hollyhock; a son who wanted to fly like a bird, Junior Hollyhock; and a tottering old blind grandfather, Grandpa Hollyhock - all of whom come to live together for the laughs.
