Synopsis
The military's brightest minds tackle the country's toughest legal challenges at the Marine Corps Base Quantico, where every attorney is trained as a prosecutor, a defense lawyer, an investigator, and a Marine. Abe and Harper’s investigation into the accidental overdose of a Marine takes a turn when they can’t find any fingerprints – even the deceased’s – on the pill bottle, leading them to believe he was murdered. Also, Abe receives a warning about testifying in a lawsuit against the Corps, and Maya is concerned that her brother does not have his mental illness under control.

Turnbull anxiously awaits word on her son’s status after she approves an overseas airstrike.

The show's format is similar to that of CBS's Perry Mason, with Matlock identifying the perpetrators and then confronting them in dramatic courtroom scenes. One difference, however, was that whereas Mason usually exculpated his clients at a pretrial hearing, Matlock usually secured an acquittal at trial, from the jury.
