Synopsis
Complex, offbeat Detective Charlie Crews returns to the force after serving time in prison for a crime he didn’t commit. Crews’ new lease on life has provided him with a Zen-like outlook, peace of mind and no need for vengeance, an attitude which can be challenging to maintain when someone he cares about is threatened — or when he is investigating the mystery surrounding the murder he was falsely accused of.

Crews and Reese investigate a murder in which it looks like the wife shot her husband, but no murder weapon was found, what they do find is illegal drugs. Crews asks Reese and Stark to cover for him during the search because he has to take care of something. Crews in in for a shock as he tries to track the man he thinks actually committed the murders he was in jail for.

A grocery store employee and his son become the prime suspects when they find out the girl used to play her guitar in front of the store. During the investigation they find ties to a kidnapping 12 years earlier. Are they connected?

Crews and Reese investigate the murder of two Iranian Americans and kidnapping of another. Not sure if this is a hate crime or not they try to work with the kidnappers. What they uncover is a boy trying to his mother's love. Earley becomes concerned about Crews' impulsiveness when he wants to buy a solar farm after having a dream.

While at an AA meeting Reese thinks she overheard someone admit to a rape. She finds herself in danger because she won't back down and keeps on investigating. Crews goes on a stakeout with Lt. Davis and learns some surprising information about his former partner Bobby Stark.

A woman is found wearing an angel costume dead. Crews and Reese must figure out if it was suicide or murder. They find out the victim might have been involved in a scam involving Russian brides. The big problem they face is that they can't get to the ringleader.

Things get confusing when a man is found dead in his own home. As Crews and Reese interview the neighbors they get all different ideas about the murder. When a homeless man is taken into custody but swears he's innocent, Crews and Reese continue to investigate.

When a husband and wife are victims of a carjacking the wife is murdered. Crews and Reese become suspicious of the husband when he refuses to identify the suspect and they have to let him go free. Crews goes to see the detective that handled his case.

Worst Week is an American TV series which originally aired on CBS from September 22, 2008 to June 6, 2009. The series was based on the British sitcom The Worst Week of My Life. The show was adapted for American audiences by Fox under the title Worst Week of My Life, but a series failed to materialize after the pilot was filmed.
The series aired on CBS Mondays at 9:30pm ET/PT, following Two and a Half Men. The premiere attracted 11 million viewers but lost a third of its lead-in audience. Ratings dropped to a low of 8.4 million viewers with the sixth episode, then began to climb steadily. They reached a high of 12.12 million viewers with the eleventh episode but declined afterwards. The season finale titled "The Epidural" aired on February 16, 2009. The Series is currently being shown in Ireland on RTÉ Two, Sundays at 3:40am.
On May 20, 2009, CBS announced its new season schedule and canceled Worst Week. A previously unaired episode entitled "The Party" aired on June 6, 2009. Worst Week is set in Manassas, Virginia
