Yet within our own Jewish community, there exists a lack of understanding of our ethnically diverse Jewish world. Through an exhibition of commissioned portraiture accompanied by a newly produced documentary film, No Silence on Race, in partnership with the Ontario Jewish Archives, explores the lives of multiracial and multiethnic Jews within the community. The project broadens our concept of Jewish identity that has historically privileged Ashkenazi Jewish culture and presents a call to action to the Canadian Jewish community about the need for greater education on Jewish ethnic diversity within the Jewish world both in Ontario and nationally.

The record, entitled "The Normal Album," was a significant departure from his previous work - much like his previous work. The process of constructing this strange and polarizing experimental "avant-pop" album was documented by Jake Feldman and Danger Baby Films' Mike Diebold, and Will Wood was left with the footage to do with as he pleased.

3 Songs for Saturn
3 Songs for Saturn
In homage to a somehow political reptile, Misho Antadze's "3 Songs for Saturn" is a portrait of an alligator captured in 1946 and later moved between the zoos of Berlin and Moscow. Told through an assemblage of archival representations of crocodilians throughout film history and a soothing Attenborough-like voiceover, this creative documentary paints a humorous picture of symbolic commodities and the cruelty of a non-human reality.

Look at Me
Look at Me
Authority, autonomy and one’s own complicity are elements in the transgressive situations that the artist Christian Falsnaes establishes in ‘Look at Me’, where he, in collaboration with the actress Minni Katrina Mertens, directs different groups of people at a night club, a gallery and an open-air festival. The boundary between subject and object – and between spectator and participant – is fleeting until you are finally invited on stage yourself. Throughout the entire proceedings, however, there is only one director. When Falsnaes and Mertens take turns to give both the others and each other instructions, it happens in an interplay where dominance and submission are the constants. ‘Look at Me’ embodies the kinds of soft and hard authority that we more or less consciously are subjected to everywhere in modern Western society, and it is made as both a documentary and a video work in its own right.
