Fish out of Water
Fish out of Water
Fish out of Water tackles the seven Bible verses used to condemn homosexuality and justify marriage discrimination. This feature documentary uses humor and original animation to make a traditionally complex and controversial topic accessible to those who don't like talking about religion and sexuality. Fish out of Water dives into the underbelly of America, crisscrosses red and blue states and talks to ministers from every denomination to uncover America's impassioned relationship with homosexuality and the Bible. With slapstick animation and quirky interviews taken everywhere from barbershops to mega churches, Fish out of Water delivers a voice to the oppressed and informs to the misled. Mamonov
From the author: “Pyotr Mamonov is a genius, one of those who shaped my consciousness, a man whose name for me is a sign of that irreconcilable position that an artist should occupy in cultural and social terms. Quite unexpectedly, I was very close and found a friend whom I seem to understand. This friend turned out to be Ilya, the son of Mamonov. When I suggested that Ilya make a film about him, he immediately warned me that if I wanted to contact his father in this way, then I would not succeed.

In this way, hundreds of people decide to cross the border, closely pursued by the rebels. The usual procedure of the Portuguese authorities is to hand them over to their Francoist allies. Terrorism Considered as One of the Fine Arts
Terrorism Considered as One of the Fine Arts
Adapting its title and theme from Thomas De Quincey's murder text, this long-overdue return to narrative cinema by the great British filmmaker Peter Whitehead is based around a mesmerizing psycho-geographical exploration of modern day Vienna. The film incorporates a record of the subversive underbelly of the city into a poetic meditation on conspiracy theory, ecoterrorism, time and cinema, retracing the story of The Third Man. Adapted from a trilogy of Whitehead's own Nohzone novels, the objective and subjective becomes blurred as the film director merges with the fictional detective in a journey into the murky activities of covert counter-insurgency groups. Kaleidoscopic in intent, the film mixes Noh theatre, Victorian novels, Vienna after the war, opium, domain names and Jacob's ladder "pitched twixt Heaven and Charring Cross".

The victory of the fascist army in the Spanish civil war caused a mass exodus of republicans who had to take refuge wherever they could. Mexico, led by its president, Lázaro Cárdenas, was the only country that openly supported the republican cause and opened its doors to thousands of Catalans who found their second homeland in that land. This documentary aims to be a tribute to all the exiles and the people who welcomed them. "Mexico, you have opened your doors and your hands to the wanderer, the wounded, the exiled, the hero..." Camp d'Argelers
Camp d'Argelers
In February 1939 the history of Argeles, a quiet fishing town, suddenly changes. Catalonia was occupied by fascist troops, 465,0000 refugees flee across the border. The French authorities order the construction of a camp on the beach... The film evokes the existence of the Argeles sur Mer concentration camp (Pyrénées-Orientales), from its creation in January 1939 to its closure in September 1941. In 1939 , filmmakers and activists, shocked by this camp, managed to smuggle a camera behind the wire fence. The few images taken directly from the Argeles camp were filmed with a hidden camera and many were seized and destroyed. “El Campo de Argeles” proposes to recreate these lost images and intersect camp life with archival images and testimonies collected throughout Europe: former internees in the camp (Spanish Republicans, Jews...) and also guards and witnesses.
