Synopsis
The World Series of Poker is a series of poker tournaments held annually in Las Vegas and, since 2004, sponsored by Caesars Entertainment Corporation. It dates its origins to 1970, when Benny Binion invited seven of the best-known poker players to the Horseshoe Casino for a single tournament, with a set start and stop time, and a winner determined by a secret ballot of the seven players.

The 54th Annual World Series of Poker was held on the Las Vegas Strip at Horseshoe / Paris Las Vegas. The 2023 WSOP builds on the momentum of a 2022 tournament that saw 197,626 entrants from more than 100 countries and a record-breaking $347.9 million total prize pool in its new home. This year’s event featured the biggest capacity in the series history with 608 tables spread across more than 200,000 square feet of convention space, 24/7 live cash game action including a brand-new permanent hall of fame poker room at Horseshoe Las Vegas, and the first-ever $300 price point tournament in WSOP history.
Season 2022
WSOP moves to the Las Vegas Strip for the very first time at Bally’s, the future Horseshoe, and Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino.
Season 2021
The World Series of Poker returns in 2021 after a COVID-suppressing 2020 for it's 52nd year. With 88 events and a total prize pool of $69,937,500 for the Main Event, 2021's biggest poker event is one of the most exciting in years!

Season 2015
The 2015 World Series of Poker is the 46th annual World Series of Poker (WSOP). It was held from May 27-July 14 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Paradise, Nevada. There will be 68 bracelet events, culminating in the $10,000 No Limit Hold'em Main Event, which began on July 5. The November Nine concept will return for an eighth year. Instead of a $10 million guaranteed first prize for the Main Event, however, there will now be 1,000 guaranteed payouts.
Season 2014
The 2014 World Series of Poker is the 45th annual World Series of Poker (WSOP). It was held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Paradise, Nevada, between May 27-July 14, 2014. There will be 65 bracelet events, culminating in the $10,000 No Limit Hold'em Main Event beginning on July 5. The November Nine concept will return for a seventh year, with the Main Event finalists returning on November 10. For the first time the Main Event will have a guaranteed $10 million first prize. The $1,000,000 Big One for One Drop was also held for the second time
