Val returns to the house to see how Roger's tribunal at work has gone. She reveals she is going to a dinner which Ian - a former colleague who fell in love with her and moved to New Zealand - is attending. Roger cynically reviews all things New Zealand has offered and points out the ignored plight of Sherpa Tenzing next to the celebrated Edmund Hillary.

Roger lies almost mute in bed in the spare room. Val tries hard to reach him, but there's more to this crisis than the recent news about his father. Roger reveals that, alone in the house, he has followed grief counselling advice and written out an idealised self-image; however he has mistakenly emailed it to his management team at work.
Episode 4 : Be Our Guests

Roger's dad is slipping away. His cousin Cathy is arriving with her loner husband Bob to bid his father farewell, and Val has been panicked into inviting them to stay in their spare room. No one has ever stayed there before. Now they must go into it and get it ready for guests.
Episode 3 : The Dining Room Curtains

Val arrives home with the freshly laundered dining room curtains and hears that Roger has had yet another clash with Phil, his non-plant-loving boss. The dining room has just been decorated and Roger and Val must summon up the energy to put the curtains back up - will they manage to do so? We also learn that Roger's father is dying and discover that in this house all is not quite as it seems.
Episode 2 : The Unglamorous Row

Val comes home to find Roger in an agitated state. She has left that evening's meal, a pack of fish fingers and some frozen peas, in his plant fridge in the conservatory. Thus begins a chain of rows, each one seemingly all about fish fingers.

Roger returns home to find Val searching for the lost guarantee for the vacuum cleaner, but will it turn out to be in the big drawer in the garage? Feeling he made a strong impression on the Head of Legal during a work dispute, Roger decides to call her to check his statutory rights, and the pair of them grow nostalgic when Val gets down to the business of sifting through the contents of the drawer.

No, Honestly
No, Honestly is a British sitcom that was originally produced in 1974. No, Honestly featured the real-life married couple of Pauline Collins and John Alderton respectively as Clara and Charles Danby, a newlywed couple living in London.
The character of Clara was a ditzy dreamer who hoped to write books for children. Charles Danby by contrast was a struggling actor with a more serious streak.
At the start of each episode, the couple appeared in front of an audience telling stories about their first meeting, courtship and life as newlyweds. The entire programme, therefore, was a series of flashbacks as the couple recounted the earlier days of their romance.
Filled with witty and sparkling banter, the episodes featured comic situations ranging from problems with mistaken identity to decorating and makeover mishaps.
In homage to George Burns and Gracie Allen, CD would end each episode with the phrase "Say goodnight, Clara."
The series is based on the novels Coronet Among the Weeds and Coronet Among the Grass written by Charlotte Bingham, who was co-creator of the TV series with her husband Terence Brady.
The theme song for No, Honestly was written and performed by Lynsey De Paul. It peaked on the UK charts at number 7.
