Trailer Synopsis

When her boyfriend Derwin Davis is chosen as the new third-string wide receiver for the San Diego Sabers, Melanie Barnett decides to attend a local college so she can be with him. While Derwin worries about the plays on the field, Melanie adjusts to her new lifestyle. She gets a play-by-play account of the lives and relationships among NFL wives, girlfriends and mom/managers who use their best game to help their men stay on the field and on their arm.

Derwin and Malik commiserate over losing Melanie and Robin Givens respectively. Tasha gets upset when she learns that Rick Fox is being promoted to manager and she ends up sharing an intimate moment with him. Meanwhile, After firing his manager, Kelly tries to convince Jason to sign with Irv.

Meanwhile, Kelly and Jason argue over his frugal spending during the holidays and Malik begins to question Tasha's allegiance to him.

Later, when Derwin shows up with Raquel at Melanie's job, Melanie has to suffer mortification while she serves them. Afterwards, Melanie learns that Derwin's new girlfriend is planning to impregnate herself by Derwin via a turkey baster; but when she tells Derwin, he assumes that Melanie is just jealous. Malik turns to Tasha to help him but she's out signing a new client to Tasha Mack Management. Meanwhile, guilt stricken Jason confesses to Derwin about this lies to Kelly about his use of steroids.

Tasha tells Melanie that she has to find a place of her own in a month, Meanwhile, Derwin calls Melanie's parents and informs them about their breakup, causing Melanie to get upset and she reveals that she slept with Trey and that he is paying for her medical school tuition. Later, Jason has trouble performing in the the bedroom, prompting Kelly to suspect that he's having an affair and Dionne offers Melanie a place to stay. Hosea Chanchez also stars.

Evening Shade is an American sitcom television series that aired on CBS from 1990 to 1994. The series stars Burt Reynolds as Wood Newton, an ex-professional football player for the Pittsburgh Steelers, who returns to rural Evening Shade, Arkansas to coach a high school football team with a long losing streak. Reynolds personally requested to use the Steelers as his former team because he is a fan. The general theme of the show is the appeal of small town life. Episodes ended with a closing narration by Ossie Davis summing up the events of the episode, always closing with "... in a place called Evening Shade." The show's final episode saw the guest appearances of Willie Nelson and Buzz Aldrin as escaped convicts on the run from authorities, the final scene being a spectacular shoot-out reminiscent of the final scene of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. The opening segment included clips from around Arkansas, including the famous McClard's Bar-be-que, which is situated on Albert Pike Blvd. and South Patterson St. in Hot Springs National Park.

Power Play was a Canadian television drama series, which aired on CTV from 1998 to 2000. The series was filmed at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton, Ontario. The show starred Michael Riley as Brett Parker, a former New York City sports agent who became the general manager of a National Hockey League franchise, the Hamilton Steelheads. One of the throughline plots of the series dealt with Parker's ongoing love–hate relationships with the sport, the team and his superior at McArdle Industries, corporate executive Colleen Blessed, played by Kari Matchett. The cast also included Gordon Pinsent as team owner Duff McArdle, Jonathan Crombie, Jennifer Dale and Al Waxman. The show's theme song was a modernized version of the Stompin' Tom Connors classic, "The Hockey Song", performed partly by Connors himself, and then transitioning to the performance of the band Rusty. The show was briefly aired on the US network UPN, starting in 1999, but was pulled after just two episodes.
