Synopsis
The story of a young group of siblings pretty much abandoned by their parents, surviving by their wits - and humor - on a rough Manchester council estate. Whilst they won't admit it, they need help and find it in Steve, a young middle class lad who falls for Fiona, the oldest sibling, and increasingly finds himself drawn to this unconventional and unique family. Anarchic family life seen through the eyes of an exceptionally bright fifteen year old, who struggles to come of age in the context of his belligerent father, closeted brother, psychotic sister and internet porn star neighbors.

But Shane suddenly turns charitable and begins giving the homeless their stock, infuriating Jackson and causing a rivalry between the two business partners. Meanwhile, the residents are shocked by Patty's sudden generosity towards her neigbours. But when she begins hosting a coffee morning for the elderly, they discover a scam is afoot, and the whole estate turn against her. An outcast in the community, Patty finds her problems only just beginning when she is targeted by a hate campaign. And, Billy is having trouble in the bedroom, and a devastated Mimi is convinced he no longer loves her.

And Billy's sick of people taking advantage. Karen reckons the answer to his problems is a self-help tape.

Meanwhile, Avril supplies pills to Patty, who wants more than her recommended dosage, but when Avril turns down her request, Patty springs into action with a plan to steal them.

Frank and the kids are sent into a spin when mum Monica turns up, claiming to be back for good. Lip is taking his parental responsibilities seriously until thoughts of university offer him the escape he's always wanted. Carol is back but still having trouble keeping her legs and mouth shut, while Kash is happy screwing the council. And what is the connection between Kev, Veronica, Marty, Sue and a Romanian baby?
