Life on the road isn’t quite what Ella and her girlfriend Katie dreamed of when they quit their jobs and drove off in pursuit of the #VanLife dream. The pressure of churning out sponsored social media posts to fund their new lifestyle has taken its toll on their relationship and for Katie, they’ve reached the end of the road. When Ella makes a deal with her to shoot one last ad for an organic dog food brand, neither of them are quite prepared for the challenges of torrential weather and a bloodthirsty terrier. Gaia is a bleak British comedy, savagely skewering the fantasy of getting away from it all.

Why so much hype?
a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.
At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.
The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
