This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

I have just watched "Ghost Hunters: Point of Contact" and the story is an awful senseless mess. The beginning is so confused that is impossible to be understood or described. Then, the "messenger of the dead" Jake has been in coma for twelve years in a hospital in Los Angeles without any atrophy of his muscles, but out of the blue he awakes seeing the dead and moves to the house of the nurse Elaine. One year and three months later, his beard and Elaine vanish from the story and now he has apparently teamed up with a group of ghost hunters and he meets the psychic Andrea Riley. They go to an abandoned house, where a man killed his wife and two children many years ago, and the flick ends without conclusion or explanation. I believe that the (very low) budget has finished before the completion of this film and the producers decided to release it anyway without continuity. I know that "advice when most needed is least heeded", but my advice is to avoid this terrible film. My vote is one (awful).Title (Brazil): "Mensageiro dos Mortos" ("Messenger of the Dead")

There was quite a lot of filler in this story. Watching the main actor constantly looking in a dream sequence type of scene was annoying. I was also very disappointed in the ending as well ... I expected more ... at least closure. But given these things, I actually enjoyed the movie. Since I did not pay for this movie (watched it on AmericanFree TV), it was well worth the price. I really wanted to see a dramatic end, but the movie ended on the edge of what could have been the best scene of the movie ... but did not.In conclusion, I would rather see a condenced version without the "dream sequence" look ... and a better ending. If you like thrillers, and you can look past these flaws ... I recommend it.

In watching this movie it's clear the director knows what he is talking about. I watched this movie three times and each time got something a little different. I love supernatural movies, I'm a fan of the subject. Real paranormal films are hard to come by without seeing the entity or having a spirit "come to life" before your eyes and joke about God. Movies like Constatine and The Covenant were OK, but hokey because if you're a true fan of supernatural movies, or a medium or ghost hunter your self - it just doesn't happen that way. (but thats Hollywood!)If you're expecting huge action sequences, cheesy demon costumes and girls possessed crawling on the ceiling- - this isn't your movie (and you may call it the worst). But if you want to find out what it would be like to be able to see the dead, constantly - have spirits invade your dreams nightly for reasons you can't explain - this is your movie. I was impressed by the detail of the dialogue, "out of body experiences" - the "dead not realizing they were dead" - the lead character Jake telling the spirits he will "tell their story" - "they are lost and confused"..... as a medium this is the real dealFinally there are two sequences that will hit you incredibly close to home if you're a follower and were creepy to watch - they use a pendulum to contact the dead, and get results (don't try that one at home)! and a "seance" where we find out what really happened to "Jake" and how he became the "point of contact". Its scary and tells a story. The irony of the whole story is Jake is just as lost and confused as the spirits he's trying to help, with little or no resolution in the future for him, he's forced to figure out what's happening to him. You've got to think about it - otherwise you just won't get it.

Awful, just awful. I realize that this was originally shot as a one-hour series, but they apparently didn't have enough material between what episodes they shot to put together a movie of any worth. To begin with, it's boring...terribly boring. Nothing happens. Even the murder scenes (wherein the "bodies" often blink while the camera moves over them) are boring. Short scenes between the male and female lead seem to go on forever.Next, a large portion of the film is "filler". The opening and credit montage is several minutes long and it just depicts a series of "visions" or "manifestations" in jump-shots. You have no idea what you're watching, because there's been no story or plot yet, and eventually the shots begin to cycle...guy with a green light shining up over his face, bloody murder victim on the rug, people standing in a dark room, and then back again to the guy with the green light in his face. It's obvious that they director had to fill in 15 minutes or so throughout the film to make it even as long as it was. Finally, the story (what little there is) stinks. The characters make pronouncements that are unwarranted, perform contradictorily to what their stated beliefs are, and just basically talk about anything and everything without coming to any conclusion. Now, I like a lot of bad movies. At least bad movies often keep your interest. This movie, however, is snore-inducing.Avoid it at all costs.
