Instead, you get a movie that's enjoyable enough, but leaves you feeling like it could have been much, much more.

There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.

Every motorcyclist needs to see this film, it's more of an experience than a narrative that weaves in and out of many different motorcycle worlds. Road racing, off-road, flat tracking, stunt biking, salt flats & more.Dana is a hugely talented filmmaker in his own right, but choosing to create a follow-up to the iconic original is a big risk. But he pulled it off even better than dad did. There is so much depth to any particular type of riding or racing, covering such a wide swath like this reminds us what we all have in common: The love of motorcycling.

After seeing the original I was excited when I heard about this and couldn't wait to watch it. I sat with huge expectations that were not disappointed. The reviews from others are a 'tad' on the harsh side. The hold on Moto Gp was for no longer than 10 minutes throughout the entire 90 minutes. "The Doctor" running around Africa on his motorbike was showing the passion he has for his bike and how much it has changed other peoples lives. Is that really a reason to give a film a bad review?. Unless I am mistaken, It is also about the passion of motorcycling. I also didn't see a 90 minute advert for the popular energy drink. Only when coverage was shown of the Moto Gp which is sponsorship and you'll get that if you watch the GP!.My Father In Law is a retired TT racer and I've had a passion for bikes since forever. If this film doesn't ignite the passion then you really are not meant to be watching it. Also watch the first. You will love it. If you get some spare time and haven't already, check out TT-Closer to the Edge. Another fantastic movie.

Like my predecessors reviews, I too have seen the original from a very young age, this of course inspired me also to a amateur career in racing dirt and road bikes. I also, naturally being so motorcycle orientated, have On any Sunday I & II and now this latest iteration. It is unfair to compare each to the original, as even I find this is the best for me. It has "MY" era bikes and memories, however that does not mean I dismiss this new version as "No Good", or a poor attempt at trying to recreate the original. This it is not trying to do. It is showing motorcycling as it is now, what and who is the movers and shakers and for this I found it very entertaining. I especially enjoyed the Pikes Peak hill climb with the electric bike. Maybe they could have shown more dirt bike shots, but that has evolved now into stadium super-cross and not the wide open motocross of the 70's.This is a really a good indication of just what has happened to our recreational side in motorcycling if you watch all three movies. To me the type who lives and breathes his youthful days on a bike that he built himself, then this is just another must have piece of motorcycling memorabilia for my collection, for those days when the world feels bad and I want to feel good.My last word is on the doctor riding around, yes it was boring, but it did show that our beloved motorcycle will always be there to help someone.I believe this is worth watching and if you can also see the other two as a view to motorcycling time line from 1971 through to 2014.

Don't let kwabraben's review get you down. The movie was a lot better than he panned it. I almost didn't buy it because of his review but I needed it to keep my On Any Sunday movie collection up to date. I'm glad I did even if it did almost seem to be an hour and a half commercial for a popular energy drink but what can us fans do? I've never bought or even tasted an energy drink so it mattered little to me. There were three problems I had with it: 1) The lack of motorcycle hill climbing 2) The focus on Moto GP racing and... 3) The story of the doctor riding around in Africa. In it's place, or at least added to the movie, could and should have been motorcycle hill climbing. Way more exciting than some doctor riding some unknown small motorcycle around. The movie is supposed to be about the sport of motorcycling, not some dude making house calls. But, it's a highly recommended movie that must be part of any motorcycle enthusiast's collection. Buy it!
