Simply Perfect

It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.

It's a movie as timely as it is provocative and amazingly, for much of its running time, it is weirdly funny.

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

I absolutely like this movie because it was very interesting to follow and Cary Elwes was such a brilliant actor for voicing as Francis. I wish there were nice cats as Francis haha, it would be awesome to have the like of him as a pet. Also Elwes voice is just adorable, it melts me haha! Seriously, cats in real life can be crabby like! I found that some scenes were sad in the film, it was sickening that Felicity who Francis was friendly with, killed when her head was chopped up. Herself and Francis would've been a great couple but sure he got another lucky lady in the end. Same time, he wont forget her. I say that he was really fond of her Seriously, I wouldn't suggest any sensitive cat lovers to be watching this, it is heart-breaking to see a large amount of cats being killed by an old cat! Interesting story line, characters and the breath-taking aerial view of the neighborhood. I give this 9/10!

What a peculiar film. Its a cartoon mostly with cats, but I'd never show it to a child. It samples many X-rated themes: cults, sex, homosexuality, violence, castration. But its played perfectly straight. Its a mystery, with elements of horror and science fiction. Its a unique movie. My closest comparisons would be Watership Down and The Plague Dogs.Its alright. For a lesser-known German animation, the animation is surprisingly well-done and fitting. I think the English dub is pretty good, too. Sadly, noir movies that focus on mystery alone don't work well for me. There's no character arc, and the revelation is bizarre enough to scratch my head, sane enough for me to shrug it off. Its an interesting sit, though. And not in a so-bad-its-good fashion. I'd lightly recommend it if it interests you, although I don't think its as good as others say.

Now as a lover of adult animation I already knew I would like this seemingly unknown German film from what I read about it. I watched it on youtube in English dub, which was pretty convenient. It gives a great outlook on how a cats life would really be like. If you are not one for violence then you prolly shouldn't watch this. A lot of gory and odd imagery but it was much needed to set the mood for the storyline. I have noticed a lot pf the commenters on youtube were bothered by the sex scene between the main character and a girl cat. All I can say is its adult animation for a reason. If your gonna be a titty baby and not bare a sex scene between two cats that doesn't even last a min then you should go back to watching cats don't dance and eating your capn crunch. I loved this movie. It was dark, strange, a little raunchy, and I love cats.

I ended up stumbling along this title on IMDb one day and read all the info about. It sounded like a good movie and I wanted to watch it. The only problem was, I was a bit hesitate about it as I was warned that this movie contain gory and upsetting scenes in it and I usually don't do well with gory movie (they make me sick in the stomach) but as time passed, curiosity got the better of me.Superb storyline and this movie had me guessing till the end of whodunit and I was not let down. And the gory bits... They didn't make me sick at all. I think that rather strange.I would not recommend this to kids at all. If fact, since it wasn't released in Australia I decided while watching the movie that I would give the movie a classification: MA+15.
