Good movie but grossly overrated
The film may be flawed, but its message is not.
A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
Jack (Jack Cullison) doesn't quite finish college and rents out his home to his friends for cash. He gets an opportunity to earn his degree by operating a car wash that belongs to his professor. From the DVD cover you can guess where this goes into something just less than being a "Risky Business."This is comparable to your classic teen sex comedies, except the humor aspect wasn't that good.3 stars for all the top shelf nudityGuide: F-bomb, sex, nudity (Mindy Robinson, Ana Foxx, Christiana Cinn, Scarlet Red, Erika Jordan, Thalia Longchamp )
All American Bikini Car Wash is pretty much what you would expect to see: Girls in bikinis and lots of outstanding cars. the plot is straight forward: college kid doing badly makes a deal with a prof to pass a course. All this so Dad doesn't find out and he gets kicked out of school. Some pretty funny scenes in the selection of the car wash "attendents". Some good one-liners along the way. A young cast of potential up-and- comers. In general, an easy going fun flick to watch. I liked the cars. Obviously they reached out to some classic car owners in the area to provide vehicles. For an evening of light, humorous entertainment, get a six pack, kick back, and have some fun.
This movie takes me back to my childhood. I loved super ridiculous t&a comedies like Screwballs. Sorry in advance to my feminist friends. It also has a more modern edge though with some seriously lovely women and great cast. I'm not always in the mood for a heavy art film or drama. Sometimes it's good to just kick back and watch something like this and just laugh and laugh. The acting is pretty good. The lead, Jack is probably the most believable. The story is silly but entertaining throughout. All scenes with the Vex character is pretty legit. The dynamic of the cast is fun. Lots of fresh faced talent. Has a bit of an American Pie vibe. Highly recommended.
Overall funny, some weak parts but pretty solid. The main guy and his friend were the best actors of the bunch. The mob guys were fun, too. The curly-haired girl (Amanda?) was probably the hottest of the girls - and she stood out as the most solid actress. The girl that played Tori was fun.I totally belly-laughed at some of the lines. The music was good for the most part, some of the music was meh. The girls were certainly into their roles when they were washing the cars. The nerdy dude was over-doing it at first, but was better later on, so I ended up liking him by the end.Not perfect, but mindless fun.
