The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.

This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

A clunky actioner with a handful of cool moments.

Enjoyable but somewhat dated animation from three of anime's leading early exponents. Magnetic Rose is an effective 'Bermuda Triangle' tale; and Stink Bomb neatly covers environmental disaster with a slightly comic tone, but Canon Fodder is the piece that, for me, looks and feels like something different. There are strong notes of Gilliam-esque styling and it left me feeling quite happy to watch another half hour exploring the grim, dystopian lives of the central characters - it feels like the first chapter, or perhaps prologue, of a feature length story of one cog battling against the authoritarian machine. Entertaining stuff for anime fans.

I saw this movie very recently. And I have to say it's an amazing flick done by 3 masterminds of Anime, including Otomo(who later directed Steamboy).All 3 episodes of this movie are both unique and well thought up.Magnetic Rose: The Date: October 12, 2092 A.D., the scrap collection ship, Corona has recently destroyed an old satellite deep in space. The crew members received an S.O.S. signal from a large heap of scrap. Heinz and Miguel went inside it to locate the source of the signal. But soon discover a world created by the memories of an Opera Diva.Stink Bomb: Nobuo Tanaka, a young chemist has been suffering from a series of colds. He went to meet a doctor who's said to have a special cold medicine to stop colds instantly. The doctor wasn't there, so he helped himself to the pills he believed to be the medicine. The next day Nobuo's wake up realizing that he overslept at his work all night. When he got up and head for his office, he noticed that everyone in the building is laying around unconscious(which he thinks they are). But little does Nobuo know is he became the strong biological weapon in the world. A stench that's so powerful it can kill a person instantly, even if you were wearing a gas mask.Cannon Folder: The everyday life in a fictional,grim,futuristic military city, where cannons are a common weapon and a defense system on every building and facility. The story revolves on a family of 3 who live through this organized and tight society. The son is a regular kid who hopes to fire cannons for a living someday. The mom works at a manufacturing like plant, while the father works with the cannon shells for the Big Cannon. The Big Cannon is the largest cannon in the city and used to fire on the unknown enemy they were fighting with. The entire episode is all done in one take animation(as in no cut scenes at all!).Those who like strange/visual/interesting anime might like this one. Memories is a memorable movie. It's available on Region 1 DVD, only in Japanese with subtitles. So if you like the sound of what this movie is about, then check it out for yourself.

I am a guy that rents Anime from my local video store and not much makes it through even though I live in a part of the Greater Torono Area that has a large Asian population. I find that the stuff that I find is either really good or really bad, and this film is some of the best I have seen. Each story has emotion, power, and overall, the power to be remembered years later. I think I saw this two or three years ago and I can still vividly remember the imagery and stories. My personal favourite story was Magnetic Rose because of its look into paranoia and the mind. I think it was also a wise choice to put Stink Bomb in the middle because it is the humorous one. And artistically, Cannon Fodder takes the cake. A great find for artistic types and anime-lovers alike. See this movie now!

thats really a gr8 movie to watch. Japanese animation has been fantastic and its incredibly superb story theme. i would sincerely suggest everyone to watch this great animation movie. thanks to Japanese technology of animation that such nice movies exist!! i have watched the movie several times.i have found every time the movie more interesting. u all should definitely watch this movie.its worth watching movies like these.the fighting scenes are really marvelous. the sci-fi concept too is great.
