I love this movie so much
One of my all time favorites.
Just perfect...
To all those who have watched it: I hope you enjoyed it as much as I do.
This was a great time. If this isn't a movie for bachelors, then I don't know what would be. If I could get laid as many times as these fellows, and so easily, then everything would be honky-dory. Unfortunately.... I liked it when the bachelors had made the bet, leaving the last of them to get married with a huge sum of money. Everyone thought it would be so easy, but no. It didn't quite work out to their expectations. One of the dudes really needed the money to. So, it was kind of fortunate for one guy, because he fell into a crappy situation with a casino. Everything he owned was getting reposed. So you guessed it, he tries extra hard to get the pot.Well, everyone can probably guess what happens during his extra effort to get this pot. Even I did. Yes, he falls in love with Shannon Elizabeth. Pft, Who wouldn't? She is so beautiful. He of course tries to deny his feelings. It doesn't really work out in the long run, but does at the same time. He kind of falls into a catch twenty-two and catches both positive ends. The movie is really funny. I laughed almost all the way through. Some of the situations these dumb-asses get into is just ridiculous. One of them even meets up with a sadomasochistic librarian, who probably changed his life forever. I couldn't stop laughing at that. That part really got my jollies off. The movie has a great story-line and the script was written very well. The acting was good and the dialog was great. I would definitely recommend this movie for a one time watch for laughs.
The other night my cousins and I were watching some TV after midnight and we catch up the last 20 minutes of "Big Fish" and after that film "Tomcats" began. It was very late but the credits sequence was cool so we stay and the first beat in the film was really funny so we end up watching it until the end. That beat was between 4 or 5 friends and consist in never get married; they created a bank account so every day that passes, more money for the winner. Eventually everybody get married, except Michael and Kyle, and now the prize for the winner is $500,000. The story suddenly makes that Michael needs the money by the end of the week so he makes a plan and blah blah. After that we just forget about the beat and is all a love story, quite predictable by the way, and even the main character ends in a point when even he won the money, he doesn't care because of the love. But in that entire decent love story there are many funny moments especially for the sexual maniac that is Kyle and for Michael's bad experiences with women, even if they look like a pretty innocent girl or if they are the grandma of the innocent girl Eventually we have a really enjoyable time with this film without expecting something. So I think this film is the kind that if you have the chance to watch it just for coincidence in TV it will be a good way to have 90 minutes of pure entertainment.
Everyone talks about how stupid this movie is - one insists it's totally degrading to women - but come on, it's a deliberately stupid movie, a spoof of every GUY stereotype out there. I thought the way men were lampooned was hilarious, and I'm a guy. Sure, the women are degraded, but that's a spoof of guy's attitudes, too. Some people have no ability to laugh at themselves or at social tendencies and think everything needs to be politically correct. This movie is so incorrect it's ridiculous, which is why it's funny. Jerry O'Connell is actually good, and Shannon Elizabeth has good chemistry with him. Jake Busey's character is so full of himself it's funny, because he has no reason to be. The sight gags with Jamie Pressly and the maid border on hilarious. (Yes, the testicle gag is downright gross and calls for extreme suspension of belief.) Don't take the movie seriously at all and you might enjoy it if you're in a kind of raunchy mood.
I picked this movie of the DVD self wanting to see some teenage comedy and hot chicks. And that's exactly what this movie is. Nothing more, Nothing less. In the end credits there are some gags, I probably found the Michael and director (slight spoiler hint) one funnier than half the movie. I love these Teen flicks.
