Excellent but underrated film

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

It's a strange mixture of Die Hard and Home Alone on a lower budget which works. Very enjoyable.

You've seen it before many times - damaged soldier down on his luck is in the wrong (right?) place when a large group of bad guys want to kill a witness and he kicks their bottoms.For this film to work you have to believe that a large group of criminals that have just wiped out a groups of US Marshals suddenly become less competent when they come up against a small group of useless and immature security guards simply because out hero is helping the guards. For this film to work you have to believe that in a fire fight between our hero armed with handguns and five bad guys with automatic weapons that he shoots them all. For this film to work you have to believe that on the several occasions the bad guys have to kill our hero that they hesitate.Nevertheless it was quite entertaining.

This is another action flick along the script of "Die Hard": Dude down on his luck gets in a dangerous situation, where he's forced to be a hero. While the action scenes are very, very unrealistic, they are still well executed. And the cast with highly proved actors like Ben Kingsley and Antonio Banderas make the best of an average script and give their characters the necessary life to make it worthwhile.All in all nothing you'll remember but okay for a lazy evening.

Enjoyed the "Hollywood" fantasy. Sure, it's a little far fetched, but that movie making, not reality TV. Enjoy the ride. Don't be too critical. Some good acting. A good story. Some interesting techniques I'd not seen before or maybe just not remember seeing. I just let it roll, having an open mind for what was unfolding. Just enjoy the movie. Action.
