Stargate SG-1 Audience Reviews

TrueJoshNight Truly Dreadful Film
AniInterview Sorry, this movie sucks
Sabah Hensley This is a dark and sometimes deeply uncomfortable drama
Marva It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,
captjack-29256 I love this series, and every one of the Stargate series. I started watching in season 7, but quickly went back and binged every episode on DVD (netflix wasn't a thing yet). I now own all of SG1 and SGA. I've watched every episode of SG1 at least 5 times, SGA about 3 times, and SGU about twice. I think I'm pretty much obsessed with this series.
MysteryRidah Stargate is an enjoyable ride. Started in the 90's, when TV was at its best. Stargate is an amazing show. Traveling to other places within the Heavens and finding new worlds, new people is a great idea. The cast is amazing, the writing is excellent, the humor by Richard kept me laughing all the time and what a great overall cast of characters. My favorite characters are: Jacqueline Samuda / Nirrti , Peter Williams / Don S. Davis. I'm making this review really short, because there's not too much i want to say about the show. Other than its a really good sci fi drama. Here's why i said to avoid season 9 and 10. The show felt good and natural when all 4 cast members were there. Amanda Tapping, Richard Dean Anderson , Christopher Judge, Don S. Davis and Michael Shanks. There were some questionable awful episodes in season 8, but only a few. You can tell by season 8, the budget was low and almost all the episodes were on the base or at someone's house, lol. But the problem with season 9 and 10, is the cast. I'm sorry I'm just not feeling Lt. Colonel Cameron Mitchell, Richard won that spot and its hard to get to use someone else. Vala Mal Doran is just sexy and interesting, she did add some fun to the show, too bad they didn't add her as a 5th SG1 member, it would have worked in the early seasons. As for teal-c, he hardly said anything in season 9 and 10. Every episode i seen from season 9 and 10 , which were only few were boring and just cringly to look at. So i just avoid all the rest of the episodes in season 9 and 10. The bottom line, the first 5 oringal cast members is what made the show, anything new is just pointless bring to watch.
randjim Just a thought..... They had 2 gates and when the "Ga'ould" would attack by keeping the gate open until it closed after 39 minutes.....why did they not just keep the second gate nearby so they could start dialing out after 38 minutes 30 seconds with the second gate? Seems that would have stopped the attack by continuously opening 1 wormhole as soon as the last one closed.I know that your system says that "Ga'ould" is a spelling mistake but it is the way it was actually spelled."sheesh".....what does it take to get this stupid site to accept a simple comment?
Dennis Laursen I really love the original Stargate movie. Therefore it was obvious for me, that I should watch Stargate SG-1. And a show with 10 seasons! That promise well, with a lot of depth in characters, worlds etc.But I was disappointed...The first episode was actually quite good. A good successor to the original Stargate movie. The main story is set, the plot is set, and ready to be launch! But after just a few episodes, Stargate SG-1 turns out to be a trivial and boring random-planet-visiting show, with a little or no developing in the main story. And if it have to go on with this for 10 seasons(!) - well, that I don't have patience for.The recipe is the same for every episode. The four main characters arrive to a new planet, something that don't have anything to the main story happen, our group have to solve it, they return, and it all repeats in the next episode. Furthermore, the setting is very bad. No matter which world they are visiting, it is in a forest. It is quite cheap to use the exact same setting for every episode. If they don't have the means to make a proper show, I think they rather shouldn't.I was giving up on the show halfway in Season 1.
