Warner Bros. Considers Taking Tom and Jerry

Warner Bros. is considering to let director Tim Story take a live-action movie about Tom and Jerry.


Tom and Jerry is an American animated series of short films created in 1940 by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. It centers on a rivalry between its two title characters, Tom, a cat, and Jerry, a mouse, and many recurring characters, based around slapstick comedy. In its original run, Hanna and Barbera produced 114 Tom and Jerry shorts for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer from 1940 to 1958 and won seven Oscars awards.


The story mainly talks about cat Tom and mouse Jerry battle against each other forever. The comedy TV shows without any words has been a classical in most people's childhood. It took its first movie Tom and Jerry: The Movie.


Tim Story, the famous director, had taken many movie such as Fantastic Four in 2005, Fantastic Four 2 in 2007, Ride Along in 2014 and Ride Along 2 in 2016.


Besides Tom and Jerry, Warner Bros. plans to take Scooby-Doo's live-action movies. Chris Columbus, who produced Harry Potter, will be the producer for this movie.


We knew Tom's host did not appear his or her face in TV shows, maybe it would be the first time to release who he or she is.
