Shmulik Kraus: Behind Blue Eyes
Shmulik Kraus is considered the founding father of modern Israeli music, a controversial figure. Five decades of creative work intertwined with madness, jail time and violence, this film portrays a complex character. The manic depressive illness he suffered from trapped Kraus in a vicious cycle; each album recording ended in his hospitalization in a psychiatric hospital. Yet, his passion to create new music did not cease there. Kraus passed away unexpectedly in 2013 during the shooting of this film. He was 77. Combining archive footage with intimate interviews and scenes documented during a two year time span, the film unravels a different Kraus: human, tender, a weary warrior. We are offered a deeper look into a troubled, once-adored artist, from the perspective of his life's end.

When all hope seems lost, a mysterious guardian appears to Jake, Izzy, and Cubby, and tells them that a quest must be completed in order to save it. The crew is willing to take on the challenge, but the guardian says only one of them can save Never Land. Jake decides to take on the quest, and taking Izzy's pixie dust and Cubby's map with him, sets off to find and restore the magical Forever Tree, the power of which sustains all of Never Land.

Ballast - São Pedro Hotel Stories
The short documentary explores the history of the old, and apparently forgotten, São Pedro Hotel, a historic landmark from the golden age of Iracema Beach (Fortaleza, Brazil), through the memories of those who lived or had some connection with the building. Despite using the building as a congregating element of the different stories exposed in the film, its protagonists are the memories and stories of those who became emotionally involved with the building. These memories, as well as the ballast with the same name as the title, serve as support for the "building-ship" that is slowly sinking.
