Cemento: The Documentary
Cemento: The Documentary
CEMENTO lived for nineteen years that spanned three key decades for the democratic history of Argentina. How much of relevance is the rock in this adventure of living in real democracy is difficult to estimate, but rock denounced, rock was containment, rock was a source of pride. Rock is culture and had a house where it developed, CEMENTO. We make CEMENTO - The Documentary - because we think that a people that forgets its milestones is a people destined to fail. We want to reflect in audiovisual format what CEMENT was, its origins, its facilities, the public opinion, its anecdotes and its imprint in the culture, narrated by musicians, producers and workers who gave it life.

Shot in the Dark
Shot in the Dark is a documentary on three blind photographers: Pete Eckert, Sonia Soberats and Bruce Hall. A documentary on three blind people who devote their lives to creating images. What do they see in their mind's eyes? Do they sense that which we sighted miss, overlook, or don't take into consideration? Their images, as we sighted can see, are extraordinary. "Even with no input the brain keeps creating images," says Pete Eckert. Sonia Soberats states, "I only understood how powerful light is after I went blind." Shot in the Dark is a journey into an unfamiliar yet fascinating realm. "My camera is like a bridge," claims Bruce Hall. All these photographers embrace fantasy, chance, and contingency at a fundamental level. Shot in the Dark enriches our understanding of perception and creation. We all close our eyes in sleep, the sighted and blind alike, and in our dreams - we see.

Stare Into the Lights My Pretties
Stare Into the Lights My Pretties
We live in a world of screens. The average adult spends the majority of their waking hours in front of some sort of screen or device. We're enthralled, we're addicted to these machines. How did we get here? Who benefits? What are the cumulative impacts on people, society and the environment? What may come next if this culture is left unchecked, to its end trajectory, and is that what we want? Stare Into The Lights My Pretties investigates these questions with an urge to return to the real physical world, to form a critical view of technological escalation driven by rapacious and pervasive corporate interest. Covering themes of addiction, privacy, surveillance, information manipulation, behavior modification and social control, the film lays the foundations as to why we may feel like we're sleeprunning into some dystopian nightmare with the machines at the helm. Because we are, if we don't seriously avert our eyes to stop this culture from destroying what is left of the real world.
