Papanin
The Papanin district in Baku, Azerbaijan, was to be demolished several years ago. While its inhabitants keep waiting in vain for the demolition and for the relevant compensation, the life in the district moves in its own, slow pace. The black-and-white meditative film recounts, against the backdrop of the empty streets, personal microstories about the loss of illusions, the joys of everyday life, encounters of love and death. Together, the fragments of the locals’ lives form a mosaic image of a place soon to be wiped from the face of the Earth.

Inherited Crafts
Documentary gathers together portraits of craftspeople in Stolipinovo - a large, racially segregated urban district in Bulgaria. The film shows a cross-section of a community: young, old, modern, traditional - all with something in common, the desire to live and work in a dignified way, through hand-worked crafts. People in the film are both fragile and powerful in their raw honesty against the backdrop of increasingly precarious conditions of labor. "Inherited Crafts" carries a self-reflective style, being made by Osman Yuseinov, himself a craftsman, a master jeweler, working and living in Stolipinovo.

Although the question of virginity seemed destined to disappear, there has been a resurgence of this custom. In the United Stated and in Europe, there are more and more women who join movements promoting abstinence until marriage. In Maghreb, far from claiming it as a choice, women continue to yield to tests to inspect their virginity. As a reaction to this pressure, a number of them resort to operations such as hymenoplasty (reconstruction of the hymen). And yet, as this film will show, physiologically, virginity does not exist. What is it a symbol of in our contemporary world?

In 2014, the war begins. Immediately, a system of evacuation of the wounded and killed is being built, the outpost of which is the Dnieper - it is here that the first will be delivered, it is here that they are still received. Tatiana Guba has been coordinating the evacuation for 5 years. She is called "Mom Tanya". Thousands of people are grateful to her for her life. Serhiy Kryvorotchenko, director of the Dnipro Airport, has deployed a helicopter evacuation system since the beginning of the war. Eugene Titarenko, the film's director, in 2014-2015 was part of a volunteer medical battalion, communicates with the heroes of the film about the evacuation system. The viewer will see the whole way of saving lives, will be directly in the vortex of events and will understand how many people are involved in the process of saving one person.
