Simply A Masterpiece

Admirable film.

Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.

Blistering performances.

I had pretty high expectations for this film. I heard alot of good things about it from friends and reviews online. But when I watched it I hated it. It starts off great with a great concept and some great actirs in here but its just done so badly that I almost fell asleep during many scenes. The acting is good, theres not really any memorable preformances or anyone who stood out but it wasn't painful to watch and had some realistic preformance moments in this film. This HORROR film has nothing scary about it. Theres nothing scary or atmospheric in this film. Its so predictable and unoriginal that all the scare attempts just fell flat. One of the films striking problems is how bland and boring it is. There nothing here that is entertaining or original. Its so unintresting and overly long that (as I said) I almost fell asleep. Also this film is so boring you will completely forget you watched this in t-minus 10 minutes. None of the characters are memorable or well developed and I can hardly name any of them because they are all just so bland and forgettable. And the ending is so predictable that i saw it coming from miles away. All in all while its acted well enough, directed okay and has good editing, everything else is bad. Its so bland, forgettable and boring its a waste of time. I do not recommend.

REVIEW - SLUMBERThe night hag or old hag is a creature from the folklore of various peoples which is used to explain the phenomenon of sleep paralysis. It is a phenomenon during which a person feels a presence of a supernatural malevolent being which immobilizes the person as if sitting on his/her chest or the foot of his/her bed. The word "night-mare" or nightmare " was used to describe this phenomenon before the word acquired its modern, more general meaning. Various cultures have various names for this phenomenon and/or supernatural character.This film uses this premise in an interesting using this to hang the story being told in the film upon. As with the subject of the film watching it I felt I was being put through my own nightmare experiencing paralysis sitting here on my sofa, while it is interesting and watchable the film uses all the old cliches to try to enhance the story when it didn't need to do so. The Dr with the vested interest, Not watching a certain video taof 10e until the following day, The idea to save the day (which is impossible by the way). The night porter / cleaner knowing more than they let on, And many more. There is one very pleasant surprise, Silvester McCoy! yes Dr Who! Rating 4 out o

On the edge of my seat the whole movie!! My first review on here only because it deserves a way better rating. Acting not bad at all either!

Not many horrors made me feel goose bumps like this one. It gives some awkward feeling as if I am in that movie. Very disturbing stuff in a way that you'll hate it if you watch it late. Everything is great- acting, ambient, lights, sound. Music is exceptionally creepy just in the places where it should be. Film editors did the great montage. A must watch for every horror fan. Superb horror.
