Phonearl Good start, but then it gets ruined

Married Baby Just intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?

Silvia Sironi Bad copy of ''Planes,Trains & Automobiles''. They never even try to simulate they were not copying that great movie.The scene when they are just about to have a car crash because the ''silly one'' fell asleep was so predictable! Please! Don't think people are dumb. WE WATCH MOVIES. We HAVE SEEN John Candy's excellent work.And WE REALIZE this is an exact (but WORSE) copy.So I give a 7 to ''Due Date'' just in case someone didn't watch the other...but if you did...AVOID this one.You'll give a 4 or a 5....in that case. What else can I add? The performances were OK but not enough...Steve Martin & John Candy were super!! And the man playing the character of the ''silly one'' was a complete NO ONE for a South American woman like me (Argentine)...so..... here you have : a 7.

sol- Placed on a 'no fly' list after an embarrassing incident on a plane, an uptight businessman reluctantly drives across the country with the man responsible for the plane incident to be with his wife as she gives birth in this comedy from 'Hangover' trilogy director Todd Phillips. While much of the humour is lowbrow, the film has several genuinely funny moments throughout with the two leads bouncing well off one another as they go from hating each other to liking each other and back again. Neither Robert Downey Jr. nor Zach Galifianakis is in particularly great form though. While they share remarkable chemistry, both of their characters are rather hard to like with Downey being so pompous and arrogant and Galifianakis being so utterly uncouth. Furthermore, the character that Galifianakis is saddled with here is almost identical to Alan from the 'Hangover' movies, which makes it hard not to yearn to be watching one of those films instead. To the film's credit, it concludes on a magnificent high note with a couple of excellent cameos, and between the coffee drinking and Zach's dog who imitates everything that he does, the film has ample memorable bits and pieces. Whether it really works as a film about Downey learning to be more humble and Zach learning to be more socially acceptable is less certain, but 'Due Date' is an amusing enough ride while it lasts.

firedrake-60032 It's pretty funny with good acting by nearly everyone...but there are MANY places where the situations are SOO contrived in order to get to the next section of the plot that it's just completely stupid. Like in the beginning ...all the things that happen on the plane are just plain dumb...really...this would never happen. EVER...come on writers use some creativity...that's what you get paid for. not this banal BS.../please.

Ole Sandbaek Joergensen Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis, at first I thought that can't be a good match, and it isn't, it isn't because they don't match but that's what makes it so great.I can't explain precisely what it is, but they are great together, really funny in each their own way. I don't hope Galifianakis is as bad socially as his character, but he plays the role so good, he must have had experience or investigated a lot :) And Jr. really is an asshole as only he can portray it, but has some really loving and special sides especially when he is stoned.They will definitely have a very special friendship from now one, both in the sequel and in real life.
