Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.
It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.
There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.
If you are bored then give it a try Paula Patton is a terrible actress. But the story line was enjoyable.
This film highlight the scary truth of trafficking of young girls and women. This is based on true events and should not be taken lightly of how deep the rabbit hole actually goes. Paula Palton's acting needs a bit of a boost, at the beginning she is a little annoying but as the films moves on her acting improves. All other actors were on the mark.I would recommend this film. So many things we take for granted in life. Be vigilant people Trafficking is a Billion pound industry and our leaders are involved in this.
Some nice shots of the mountains and forests, but the first 30 min is spent by the 2 leads kissing, cuddling, flowing hair, sunlight in face, etc I did have to look up paula patton, she couldn't act at all so i assumed she was another , ermm...'singer' The bike gang start on john for literally nothing, at the gas station, come on! The lead gang member is a brit, naturally, the ugly female cop has no issue executing her partner, then spilling the beans to Brea near the end...why? Was she going to kill her for sure? John doesn't have the 'mechanic' look, and he has a very empty, bored stare throughout Otherwise its reasonable, though i counted at least 4 rihanna songs in the soundtrack, that womans voice can be very tedious!
I'm confused by all the horrible reviews. It's not The Godfather, but it's certainly not a bad movie. Several unexpected twists, and based on true events.
