Great Film overall
Good story, Not enough for a whole film
Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.
The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
TERRIBLE movie. Pedantic. Focuses on the idea that Winston suffered from depression. All Churchill does is complain here. All his wife does is bitch at him. My favorite character was General Eisenhower, and this movie isn't even about him. Do yourself a favor and ignore this rotten film.
Gonna give this a perfect score just to piss off all the Churchill fanbois. Apparently they didn't like how their dear leader is portrayed in this movie. Well, sucks for them.10/10 would recommend watching this with your Tory-voting friend. Peace out.
Portrays one of the most heroic men in British history as a coward. This film is so historically innacurate it borders upon treason. Such a shame the premise of the film had so much potential.
I have often thought I would like to again experience watching films such as Aliens, The Thing, Saving Private Ryan or Blade Runner for the first time. All were exciting and entertaining. What am I served up with now? This tripe. Never mind factual issues, it is just plain boring. Churchill is, possibly, one of the worst films I have watched (well, I stopped after 50 minutes - my jaw was nearly dislocated with yawning). Dreadful. How was this ever released?
