I like the storyline of this show,it attract me so much
This movie is the proof that the world is becoming a sick and dumb place
Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.
The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
People keep rating this movie as bad because they compare it with the original. I've watched this movie as a teen and absolutely loved it! As a child, you do not have such expectation that it should be as great or "deep" as the first movie, and that's maybe why I love it. I liked the original My Girl, but I loved this sequel more. It's heartwarming, simple, and had great 70s songs in it + the very nicely sung "Smile" by Vada's mom. My Girl 2 actually made me fall in love with 70s fashion and music. You can watch this movie even without watching the first. As some say, it can stand alone. I connected more with Vada in this movie than the first. The movie is very personal that you feel Vada is you or your best friend.
My Girl 2 is set 2 years after the first movie. A much older Vada is growing up and wants to know about her mother that she never met. She goes to Los Angeles to find out more about her mother for a school project. Many stars return from the first film including Dan Aykroyd, Jamie Lee Curtis, Richard Masur and Anna Chlumsky. There is also some new comers such as Christine Ebersole and Austin O'Brien who plays Vada's love interest. Its a shame that Griffin Dunne didn't return.Howard Zieff returns to the helm to finish the story of Vada Sultenfuss. Not as perfect and edited like the first film, but its still a good film and the soundtrack is just as good as the first film. Sometimes the film does lag and is pretty boring in some parts but if you liked the first film then watch this film. It tells you the whole story about Vada's life and her mother.Remember its not perfect but overall its not a bad film!
My Girl 2 i think was a good movie. The young girl who lost her boyfriend is now 13 years old and moving on without Thomas J. Vada is now at hig school and she flys to Los Angeles as part of her English, to help her do her talk about her mother in her class. She never meet her mother as he mother was shot. Vada was born in Russia and was sent home back to her father and without her mother. Vada learned so much about her mother, a guy named Geoffory Pamaroy knew her mother Maggie. He showed Vada a clip of her and sung a song called Smile. Vada also meets a young boy called Nick, who becomes the stepson to Vada's uncle Phil. Vada told Nick about her boyfriend and she remembers the great memories she and Thomas J had together. All she has left now is the mood ring she was given by him. Vada travels back to her home and is delighed that her step mother Shelley gave birth to a baby boy. I give My Girl 2 10 out of 10.
i am a huge fan, who has seen this movie well over 100 times. I used to watch it every night before i went to bed, because i love the innocense of the story. Although the characters are very young, they still have great chemistry, and Austin O'brien is adorable. I do love him. oh and he's not her cousin by blood, so its not gross at all!!! More movies should be this good, definitely better than the original.
