It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.

Yet another movie trying to teach kids that cats are evil and terrible. How hard is it to make a cute kids movie about pets that work together and like each other, maybe the cats and dogs team up against the humans or something? And of course it's full of cats screaming, which they almost never do.Look, I like cats and dogs, but I'm sick of all these kids movies with animals that portray the cats as being evil or cold or... whatever. I've lived with cats all my life and they've always been very loving and friendly, the polar opposite of what all these garbage movies and TV shows try to teach people. They also never yelp or scream, they meow every now and then. Just make movies that teaches kids that all pets are great.

Really fun animal movie in the vein of the Air Bud/Buddies movies with elements of the Toystory franchise to boot. Technologically speaking for a 2001 movie they did a tremendous job. Doesn't feel dated and if my son is any indicator your kids will love this movie. Cats and Dogs may be better explained if the title was Cats Vs Dogs. Evil Genius cats trying to foil a scientist's invention. A syrum which would irradicate dog allergies thus making pet dogs a staple in every household in America. While dog populations grow cats would ultimately become extinct due to the lack of interest from families. Who will prevail?Harmless fun and a nice way to spend 90 minutes with my son. You'll recognize the faces as well as the voices. This one is DAD APPROVED!

It's a good movie for the family, and even more good if you love animals, which I'm sure the majority of families do. I enjoyed this movie despite the flaws, as well as the weak plot. It was entertaining nonetheless. Personally, I feel the movie could've been a lot better had it gotten more attention. I'm sure the Cats & Dogs will love watching this movie hehe...

In my honest opinion, this film is really good. Good acting, great CGI for 2001, a good premise, great voice cast, and even a decent story. I will be honest and say that the story is very generic and may actually come off as a little kiddy sometimes. The whole movie is also extremely biased against cats as the whole film is pretty much about how cats are evil and should be stopped, which may or may not upset viewers who have cats. Besides all that, this film was still good enough for me to thoroughly enjoy it. I think this film is a lot better than what other people say about it. It's a cute, light-hearted comedy that everyone would probably enjoy. I recommend this film to anyone who loves dogs, or any pets for that matter.
