Fresh and Exciting
At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.
A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.
Only not a 10/10 because, they just go to Singapore and go to any Orchard and find him? Should be a search scene for this. Also the actor (For Agent 47) wasn't the best cast, but he wasn't for the worst. I would like to see someone who could portray him a little better. This movie was really good, the plot, the rest of the casting, the acting and special FX were really good! I have played Absolution, a tiny bit of blood money and the new Hit-man. Now you could argue that the Hit-man in the film is not like the one in the games, while that is half true the movie is still pretty good!So if you were to base it off the game and how much it reflected it and detail? Probably a 7/10 movieFor a movie itself not going off the game? A 9/10 or 10/10 movie(Not really a spoiler) A cliffhanger was left, so I guess we'll see another
Movies based on video games don't exactly have a great track record (Street Fighter, Super Mario Bros., Mortal Kombat, Max Payne), but personally speaking I think Hit-man: Agent 47 is one of the much better adaptations, even if it was a bit slow to start off with.Rupert Friend makes a surprisingly good 47 in this new movie, somehow getting the perfect tone for a character who kills without mercy but still has a few soft spots. Friend doesn't just look the part, he brings it to life, and I think he done a better job here than Timothy Olyphant for the first Hit-man film.47 is a man with several genetic enhancements that make him smarter, faster, and generally more lethal than the average person. His job, as the name of the movie states, is that of a hit-man - 47 goes around taking contracts to kill people so that the goals of others can be realised. 47's mission this time out is to stop an evil organization run by a man named Le Clerq (Thomas Kretschmann) from starting up a new & improved Agent program. For this, they require the person responsible for the original program, Dr. Litvenko (Ciaran Hinds), but as he's off the grid, they are willing to settle for Litvenko's daughter, Katia van Dees (Hannah Ware), hoping she can lead them to her father. As long as you don't overthink the plot, you should find it an enjoyable film because spending more than a few moments contemplating all the whys will do nothing but lead to a headache. Take the movie as it is - an Action film, pure and simple, and a lot of the action within the film is very enjoyable to watch with some stylish scenes. The film does stray away from the stealth element quite a bit which is a bit disappointing as that is a big part of the game, but it's not a movie ruining aspect.Just remember - this is a movie adaptation of a game (a good adaptation at that) and at least it wasn't ruined by baffling casting decisions & strange story amendments i.e. Max Payne.
Pc game is wonderful but this film is terrible. 60 kg Hit-man? It does not like the actor's face in the original Hit-man. Pls.....Hit-man is a legend he is a phantom. Do not ruin this! A nearly invincible enemy, who can't be defeated by knifes, bullets or car crashes: check. Ability to see into the future to prevent bad decisions: check. Ah yes, there's also Agent 47.With that told let's see what this movie has to offer. A decent amount of action, an okay story, a few nice and surprising plot twists and some almost psychic elements that are too far stretched to be believable. Now I'm not familiar with the world of Hit-man and only saw the first movie from 2007. I appreciate a good action movie. For that we have Agent 47. But the other actress, "Katia van Dees" has some really weird and out of place powers. She can see what happens in places beyond her vision or even what's going to happen next.Surprisingly enough I'm not complaining about their antagonist, the Terminator-like John Smith. He has some skin modifications that prevent him for getting severely wounded and even though he can bleed a lot after taking a few bullets in the chest, that won't have him lying down for long. But that's technology, not some kind of psychic foretelling magic.Anyway, Agent 47 helps Katia find an old man. The bad guys are also after him, because he knows how to make Agents (and apparently witches too). There are high speed pursuits, lots of shooting and kills. The usual. I think 7 out of 10 is a fair rating. While it may be far from flawless, it will keep you entertained. Even though it's not as good as the first movie.
