Four pairs of B&B owners from across Britain take it in turns as hosts to decide which of their establishments provides the best value for money.
Seasons & Episode
This week's competition kicks off at The Sportsman in Whitworth, Lancashire, where Steve and Georgia are hoping to win over their guests with bargain rooms and big breakfasts.
Joe hosts the third visit of the week, at the stately, Grade II listed Cley Hall Hotel in Lincolnshire. The B&Bers find themselves steeped in history, before letting out some anger as they try out blacksmithing but a noisy night drives Paul to distraction, and both the Sarahs get a little too hot under the collar.
This week's competition kicks off at Rosaire Guest House in Llandudno, where host Jo and her mum Pat are going for a home-from-home vibe.
Rachel and Liam host the second visit of the week at The Queens Hotel in Harlech. Professional impersonator Liam is hoping to impress with his impersonations but an issue in the bathroom gives Pat a sinking feeling.
Visit three is to The Mill at Glynhir in Llandybie, Carmarthenshire. Mat and Helen are hoping their renovated mill will fit the bill. At first, their guests struggle to find fault - until Pat discovers that standards in the bathroom may have slipped. Things get prickly during a visit to a botanical garden in the afternoon but it's at feedback time that the hosts have the biggest thorn in their sides.
The week's final visit is to Hideaway Escapes in Pembrokeshire, where sisters Lesley and Sarah are looking to inject a bit of colour into everyone's lives. The idea of getting back to nature bugs half of the B&Bers - and things get spicy when one set of guests refuse their room and take refuge in the car instead, leaving Lesley and Sarah all revved up come feedback time.
With facility failings, bathroom blues and even one set of B&Bers refusing to even try out one of their rivals' rooms all on the agenda, Payment Day is set to be a feisty occasion. It remains to be seen who will emerge victorious when the dust settles.
The week kicks off at The Earlsdale in Devon, where married couple Lewis and James hope their bold sense of style will prove a hit, although a dribbly shower rains on their chances.
The final visit of the week is to The Railway Ramblers' Rest in Devon, where hosts Nikki and Terry hope their unique take on self-catering will secure them the plaque. However, simmering tensions between two of their guests threaten to derail things - and a simple breakfast the next morning isn't to everyone's taste.
The first venue of the week is the Plough Inn in Ripple, Kent, where guests are treated to an afternoon of seal spotting, but are less than impressed by an old bath mat.
The B&Bers head to Faringdon in Oxfordshire, where best friends Simone and Anke host the week's second visit at The Old Crown Coaching Inn. Roy and Brian find the furnishings fit for a king, but some of the guests find the cleanliness standards to be less-than sparkling. In the afternoon, a trip up a historic tower proves a step too far for Brian. Over a well-received breakfast the next morning, two of the guests ramp up expectations for their own visit.
The week's final visit is to Samsara Retreat in Kent, where Lori hosts with her friend Mike. Lori hopes to provide a relaxing, re-energising stay, and sets about giving her guests an immediate taste of what her place is all about, with a yoga, meditation and gong bath session. However, come the next morning, some of their guests aren't feeling particularly rested.
The competition kicks off in Kirkcudbrightshire, where Mandy and Suzanne at the Art Bank hope artistic flair will win them the week - but a shared bathroom is an instant black mark.
On day three, married couple Dave and Meru hope their guests will love their traditional seaside guest house, The Sanderling in Morecambe. A walk along the Morecambe coast surprises some of the B&Bers, and a well-received bargain breakfast gives the hosts reason to be cheerful, but will some less-than-spotless cleanliness scores in the feedback tarnish their chances?
The week's final visit is to the Curious Fox in Skipton, North Yorkshire, where hosts Lee and Janette think their combination of rooms and fine dining will wow their fellow competitors. However, an unwelcome discovery in one room could scupper them.
Toilet troubles, bathroom bothers and some very picky comments are all on the agenda before the payments are disclosed and it is revealed who has won.
