The Free Ones
The Free Ones is a full-length documentary feature which shows us how four detainees are dealing with the end of their prison sentence, in a sawmill. Can a factory job help them to make the necessary transformation and become free men? Hidden from society’s view and through meetings with their instructors, psychotherapists and other participants, we accompany Samuel, Pierrot, Fred and Steve talk about their hopes and fears during this six-month transition period.
Our Friend Jon
Before Jon Hernandez passed away due to complications stemming from Sickle Cell Anemia, he was writing a horror film he wanted to make with his friends. Upon his untimely death his friends (all whom have their own disabilities) decide to make the film in Jon's honor, even though they have no clue where to start. This is that story.
Lázaro
Lázaro is a film that portrays the journey of a father to the depths of his mind and the places where he built his life. Upon learning of his illness, he decides to bring his family together: a wife that he was separated from for twenty years and who returns to care for him, and a son who returns from a long journey to be by his side. An attempt is made to mend a broken bond, to unite a family in the moment of parting.
London Knowledge
Since 1865, no cab driver in London has been able to omit “The Knowledge”. It requires the memorisation of 320 routes, an achievement that takes years, but has been made into a joke by the robot cars of the future. A flesh-and-blood cabby “interacts with people from all walks of life,” according to a brochure by Transport for London, and that’s “a lot more than just taking people from A to B.” Visually fascinating, Colson traces his interviewees’ mind maps of the city using the mapping technology of robot cars.

Just For The Record: Conversations With And About "Blue" Gene Tyranny
Just For the Record locates San Antonio, Ann Arbor, Oakland, and New York City as locations where Tyranny’s compositions and collaborations developed. Filmmaker David Bernabo takes a deep dive on the recently reissued Out of the Blue and the long lost Trust In Rock concert, on the long-gestating audio storyboard The Driver’s Son, and Robert Ashley’s Perfect Lives. Interwoven with discussions on Tyranny’s music is a conversation about the nature of reissues and how distribution is survival for many aging musicians. Throughout the documentary, Bay Area filmmaker K. O. Beckman’s films with Tyranny, dating back to the 70s, provide rarely-seen performances and video projects.
