It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.

The story is loosely based on the fairytale "Sleeping Beauty" and is centred more on the warrior prince who wants to find princess Aurora. The evil queen has set Aurora in a castle surrounded by dark powers. Along his quest to find the sleeping Aurora, the warrior meets friends in the form of a wizard and a pretty elf girl. The film has a lot of breathtaking scenes and very nice costumes. I was surprised with the twists at the end. The film is a fairytale done on a budget although it's quite a little gem with more magic than today's average blockbuster.

a poor attempt at a artisan style film with cheesy acting over compensated with the showing of naked ladies and the ending has nothing to do with the original story whats so ever its completely random and pants unless your a teenage boy desperate to get off i would skip this film its waste of an hour and a few minutes the only good thing is the film locations scenery it also looks like it being filmed on a calculator very home movie the effects are pants and the action is basically watching several chases and wrestling matches with tomato sauce as blood they added a wizard and an elf in for bulk plot line and top it all of quite a few of the cut-scenes are jumpy and blurry

I've recently watched this live action version of Sleeping Beauty (on DVD) and enjoyed it from the outset. The film's telling of the fairy tale is, I think, quite a distinct and imaginative variation on the way Sleeping Beauty is traditionally depicted. I quickly became interested in the journey of William (the commander of the king's army and played by Robert Amstler), the pretty elf Alondra (Gemma Donato) and the wizard Samrin (John J. Welsh) to rescue Aurora. I also enjoyed the choices of outdoor landscapes (e.g. snowy forests, mountain views, lake side action) and thought the fights were well choreographed. The actors and actresses are all attractive (even the villains) and they all put in acceptable performances. For me the film has what I enjoy in a movie (i.e. a terrific story and fascinating characters whose fate I care deeply about) so I'm giving it a personal rating of 10/10.
