The Road to WrestleMania begins at the 25th Anniversary of the Royal Rumble, and 30 men look to realize a dream by winning the Royal Rumble match and headline WWE WrestleMania. The current WWE Champion CM Punk faces long odds against retaining his championship when he deals with both #1 contender Dolph Ziggler and a special guest referee with a particular axe to grind, Interim Raw General Manager John Laurinaitis. Daniel Bryan looks to retain the World Heavyweight Championship, but he must overcome two colossal competitors, Mark Henry and Big Show in a steel cage. Plus John Cena and Kane square off in a bitter personal bout. The Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri is this year's host for WWE Royal Rumble.

No Mercy was a pay-per-view produced by the World Wrestling Federation exclusively for the United Kingdom. It took place on May 16, 1999 at the Manchester Evening News Arena in Manchester, England. The main event match was Anything Goes Triangle match for the WWF Championship. Defending champion Steve Austin defended against The Undertaker (with Paul Bearer) and Triple H (with Chyna), with interference from the Corporate Ministry, The Brood, Kane, X-Pac and Mankind. Over the last decade, championships, careers & legacies have been at stake in the unpredictable environment, and this year will be no exception as CM Punk and Daniel Bryan will try to survive the sadistic structure with their respective titles in tact. Elimination Chamber (2012) was a PPV that took place on February 19, 2012 at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The pay-per-view was the third annual Elimination Chamber event. Apart from the two Elimination Chamber matches, John Cena fought Kane in an Ambulance match, Beth Phoenix defended the Divas Championship against Tamina, and Jack Swagger defended the US Championship against Justin Gabriel.

It will take place on January 26, 2014 at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It will be the first WWE pay-per-view in the 2014 line-up. The main event is scheduled to be Randy Orton defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against John Cena with winner by pinfall or submission only. The secondary main event will be the Royal Rumble itself, in which 30 wrestlers compete in a battle royal for a chance at the title at WrestleMania. Also on the card is Brock Lesnar vs Big Show.

Royal Rumble (2011) was the twenty-fourth annual Royal Rumble PPV. It took place on January 30, 2011 at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. As has been customary since 1993, the Royal Rumble match winner received a match at that year's WrestleMania for his choice at either the WWE Championship or the World Heavyweight Championship. The main event was the annual Royal Rumble match featuring 40 participants from both brands, instead of the usual number of 30. The primary match on the Raw brand was for the WWE Championship, between reigning champion The Miz and Randy Orton. The primary match on the SmackDown brand was Edge versus Dolph Ziggler for the World Heavyweight Championship.
