A small Dallas based promotion running out of a shack of a venue, the Sportatorium, World Class was one of the most syndicated television programs in America, making the Von Erichs household names. Run by legendary wrestler Fritz Von Erich, a.k.a. Jack Adkinsson, World Class made his oldest sons, Kevin, David and Kerry, three of hte biggest stars in the world of wrestling. Little did anyone know that just as the Von Erichs and World Class were reaching worldwide stardom they would begin a downfall that would cast a full eclipse on their meteoric rise to fame. Directed by Brian Harrison who, as a ten year old in 1983, watched on television as wrestling's world of staged combat between good and evil took a sharp turn into a surreal and tragic reality.

(01.24.88)Attendance: 6,000Live from Uniondale, NYYour hosts are Jim Ross & Bob CaudleTelevision TitleNikita Koloff (C) Vs "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton (W/Jim Cornette)The match ends in a time limit draw. This was an extremely boring match. Technically, there is nothing really wrong with it, it's just very boring. When something exciting would happen, Eaton would go to a lengthy rest hold. He did that WAY too much, especially for 20 minutes.*Stan Lane comes in, and double teams Koloff with EatonWestern States Heritage TitleBarry Windham (C) Vs Larry Zbyszko (W/Baby Doll)Zbyszko wins the title after using Baby Doll's shoe. This is another LONG match. This one is more tolerable because the last little bit is actually pretty exciting. That doesn't excuse the rest of it, though. The rest of it was boring as well with too many headlocks.**NWA TitleRic Flair (C) (W/J.J Dillon) Vs Roadwarrior Hawk (W/Paul Ellering)Roadwarrior Hawk wins by disqualification after Flair gets caught using a chair. Hawk kicks his ass after the match to make the fans happy. This is actually a pretty good match! Hawk is certainly an above average talent for a big man, but Flair had the knack for making people look like stars. He was perfect as the slimy heel. Hawk was great as well in this match.***1/2Bunkhouse StampedeDusty Rhodes Vs Tully Blanchard Vs Ivan Koloff Vs The Warlord Vs Arn Anderson Vs Lex Luger Vs The Barbarian Vs Roadwarrior AnimalThis is a cage match. The winner gets half a million dollars in prize money. Dusty Rhodes wins by eliminating The Barbarian. To be honest, this was pretty mundane to watch. There is plenty of bloodshed, but it didn't make one bit of difference, if you ask me. *1/24/10
