Nice effects though.
Admirable film.
I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.
The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.
We cant say Dileep is the hero of the movie......its an all round performance.... Starting from the taxi driver(Nedumodi Venu) to The Lawyer himself(Dileep) everyone are the hero of the movie.....Excellent movie..... Very natural, no filmy songs, fights or anything that can happen in movies alone..... Its all a very common real life incident.... Hats off to the New Director....Sreenivasan's role was the best in the movie...... any common man can learn from him a few lessons....And I love Mamtha , and she has done pretty well in this movie.....This is exactly a thriller with emotion packed turns every scenes....
Here he is; Ranjith Shankar, a débutant director, has ability to deliver! Upon seeing the posters and lines many were confused, including myself, what genre this movie would be. You get the answer before interval; it's a well executed soft thriller. The movie keeps you edge of your seat post interval. All characters are interesting. No-nonsense. Jagathy excelled as the cool villain. Valsala Menon character as Sreenivasan's mother is well thought! There are loose ends, very minor though. But it still does the purpose. A new breed to Malayalam Cinema. We need director's like Ranjith Shankar who thinks off the usual. Watch it!
I'll make it simple. Malayalam movie themes use to revolve round a hero and a villain and his(heroes) less important wife/love and (most of the times, unwanted) songs. BUT this new director, came up with something that's completely different. Without any unwanted masala and the likes. And that's what it's all about. If you ask what is special about this movie, the first thing that comes to my mind will be the fresh change that it has brought. It's not a completely unpredictable movie, but still it's miles better than the usual line of malayalam movies. It is the story of an common man doing uncommon things; above all it's about being good at heart. Two big thumbs up for the director, Ranjith Shankar. Footnote:Considering Ranjith Shankar(hopefully), Blessy(of course) and Lal Jose(to some extend) Malayalam movie industry seems to have some potential
A simple, suspenseful drama of how ordinary, average people have life-changing experiences while taking the effort & courage to help someone somewhere in distress and told in such a refreshing fashion that it's a model for those who feel that violence & lotsa masala are the only way out to keep audience in their seats. The lead character done humbly but effectively by Sreenivasan is superbly supported by Nadumudi Venu. Dileep, Mamta & Jagathy Sreekumar also make an impressive presence. No songs here but then who really wants it if the debut director Ranjith Shankar can ably leave the audience in tenterhooks until the last moment. Quite inspiring in it's message and worth watching at least once.
