Joe believed in right and wrong until... His job outsourced to India. His teaser rate spiked. His wife bailed. But Joe has a plan...to get it all back, and more. Joe returns home, to the last place on planet Earth where real men can be found...Chicago. Joe's Uncle Dominic is "connected". Joe wants in...to The Mob, or "The Outfit", as it is called in Chicago. And he'll do anything to make it happen. Can a wanna-be wise guy live a long and happy life ? A way cool element of The Return of Joe Rich is amazing HD documentary footage of 10 real-life "Chicago Guys" ages 73 to 89. These "guys" found themselves in the same predicament, in real life, in the 1930's, 40's, and 50's, that Joe does today. They form a "Greek Chorus" which inter-cuts with the present day narrative of The Return of Joe Rich. Written by Sam Auster

There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.

When I first saw it I loved the movie. I would love to buy the DVD but don't know where. If anyone knows where I could purchase it, I would appreciate it. I thought for the time that it was cool. The show was cheesy, but it had flair I like the actors and thought that they did a excellent job If you reply please include as much information as you can, please include your e-mail so that if I have any questions I can write to you. I am adding filler to meet the minimum of 10 lines of comment. I believe that having a minimum of comment lines is silly Further when they reformat my text so that it wraps, so that their are less than ten lines is also a bit silly.

Not long ago, I saw a US television special about pilot episodes which didn't make it to the series stage. I was pleasantly surprised to see the ABC TV movie "Condor" mentioned. I first saw it on air in England about 17 years ago, where it has since enjoyed a DVD release. Ray Wise is a detective in futuristic Los Angeles, with Wendy Kilbourne as his beautiful sidekick, who is in fact an android. They are part of a crime-fighting organization called Condor, and on this case, they find themselves up against a female criminal mastermind (Carolyn Seymour, a recurring guest star on Star Trek: TNG). She has stolen top secret codes allowing her access to military technology, including a fleet of remote-operated drone helicopters with missile launchers. She threatens to level much of Los Angeles unless Wise's character, an old arch-nemesis, surrenders to her. Wise and Kilbourne set out to bring her to justice and save the city. With its drone helicopters, an android character who appears human, and futuristic technology which replaced bullets with laser guns, "Condor" was very high-tech for a TV movie dating back to 1986. I would love to see this one again.

Remembering back to when I first saw this movie as a second act movie of the week on ABC after another called Northstar, It seemed really cool, lavish effects, interesting sci-fi storyline, some really cool props and of course Los Angeles the eternally cool city. Now it seems dated and kitsch but in a nostalgic way. those looking for something of a comic-book style movie with out the overt franchise names may find this movie worthwhile. Its amazing that the SciFi channel hasn't snapped this one up to show every now and then.
