Blond Ambition World Tour Live contains the final tour date recorded in Nice, France. The release had previously been shown and produced by American network HBO as a television special. In 1992, the LaserDisc release won the Best Music Video-Long Form category at the 34th Grammy Awards. The tour reached North America, Europe and Asia. It was a highly controversial tour, mainly for its juxtaposition of Catholic iconography and sexuality. Rolling Stone called it an "elaborately choreographed, sexually provocative extravaganza" and proclaimed it "the best tour of 1990."

Dutch singer Caro Emerald burst into the limelight in 2010 when her debut album “Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor” went straight to the No.1 spot in her native Holland. Later in the year it was released across Europe to universal acclaim and huge commercial success. Her second album “The Shocking Miss Emerald”, released in the spring of 2013, was a No.1 album in the UK and Holland and continues to be a top chart title in many territories. This performance was filmed at the BBC Radio Theatre for BBC’s “In Concert” series earlier this year, with a 60 minute version being broadcast on BBC Radio 2 and on digital TV. The show features a mix of tracks from both her studio albums, including all her hits, and with a cover version of the Noel Coward song “Mad About The Boy”. Caro Emerald is a wonderful live performer with a fantastic voice and an engaging personality and this concert captures her at her best.

The live album, part of Sony's "Primera Fila" series, was shot and recorded in Mexico on June 22, 2012 in front of fans and special guests on an invite-only basis. The live album has new renditions of songs from her first three albums, as well as three new tracks. The album features a documentary of the process as well as a live video recording of the concert.

I had the chance to see this tour 2 times in Philadelphia, PA and loved it.she had a pony tail during the US leg of the tour.And changed to Curly hair for the European leg like in this show in Nice,France.She performed hit's like express yourself,vogue,like a prayer and some oldies like a virgin, holiday and material girl and others. In this show she gives America advice to get a "sense of humor and to lighten up"...yes this was the bold and beautiful blond perfectionist Madonna at her best and on top of her career at the peek. we now know a much more toned down, motherly Madonna not as flamboyant as her earlier years. I thought this was the most amazing concert I ever seen to date! No one has ever toped this concert for me. The airing date for this show in France was Aug 5 1990 on HBO. I had the privilege of attending the Madonna Blonde Ambition World Tour in Houston, TX. It was spectacular. I highly recommend your viewing of this tour on video. Rolling Stone voted it Best Tour of 1990 in their magazine. Once you see it I'm sure you will agree. Enjoy!!

This tour was arguably Madonna's best stage performance. Anybody who was able to attend one of the shows during the four months of 1990 that Madonna toured is LUCKY!!! If you're like Me who was at least able to see the video, well, you see how artistically inclined Madonna is. Many people rejected the show saying it was a sex circus, but it all meant something. Madonna, without the support of anyone, was out to be heard, to make a statement, to express herself. And that she did - at ANY expense. This show captures Madonna's views on racism, religion, sex, and more in 18 earth-shaking performances. If you get a chance and FIND IT, watch this concert video. The documentary of the tour is available as TRUTH OR DARE.
