A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."

This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

Unshakable, witty and deeply felt, the film will be paying emotional dividends for a long, long time.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

These guys are excellent and anything they put out to the public is first class. The musicianship of this band is amazing and we should all be very thankful we live in a world where Rush exists. Future generations will never be able to see such mastery live and in person. Get this DVD and you will enjoy it throughly!! I was recently able to see these incredible musicians play in Houston, TX and was blown away. I have not missed a show since power windows and I have to say that they are better than ever. Everyone should embrace these guys and teach others what real musicianship is! There will never be such a tight and well put together trio again in our lifetime. Lets just hope and pray that they do not retire anytime soon!

Prior to 2004 Rush hadn't toured Europe in about 12 years, and the fans were well rewarded for their patience with fantastic performances. This show is from that European leg of their 30th Anniversary Tour and although it's an incomplete show (as opposed to Rush in Rio (2003), which was the complete setlist), it's still a phenomenal show that's well worth the time spent to watch it. Unfortunately, La Villa Strangiato was left off of the DVD so we don't get to hear the ever-amusing Alex Lifeson rant of the evening. Rush fans will love it (of course), and I would think that even non-Rush fans should enjoy it. L/L/P...

I attended this show a couple of days earlier in Stockholm and was surprised and delighted to witness Rush give a knockout performance in front of some 17000 people. Surprised because of the huge amount of people attending the concert and because they played FAR better than on the charming, but disappointing "Rush In Rio". Songs like Subdivisions (the greatest song in rock/pop history!), Between The Wheels and Earthshine brought tears to my eyes, and Geddy Lee's singing were much better than on any shows of the 90's.The R30, DVD concert were as good as the Stockholm concert with a few exceptions. 1. Between The Wheels and Subdivisions were better on the DVD. 2. Animate (the only real disappointment!), Resist and the drum-solo were better on the Stockholm concert. But that is what makes live music exiting, and R30 is still a big 10!

I bought Rush: R30 with high expectations. I took it home and put it into my DVD player. What I saw was nothing I had expected. All the good reviews seemed to be accurate!! Rush: R30 exceeded my expectations immensely!! The concert was amazing!! Geddy, Alex, and Neil are still going strong!! They looked as healthy as ever, they had lots of energy, and they seemed to be enjoying themselves. Which was great to see!! I must say, Rush: R30 was one of my most smartest purchases I have ever made!! It is definitely worth the dough!! So, fans of Rush, I urge you to go out and buy Rush: R30. You will be very glad you did!!As I said before, the concert footage was amazing!! I have never had so much fun watching a band in concert in my life!! I also liked Rush's choices for songs to play. I couldn't have chosen better myself!! They played a lot of their biggest hits such as, Working Man, Limelight, The Spirit of Radio, Subdivisions, Earthshine, Red Barchetta, Tom Sawyer, and Dreamline. Those are just a few of the many songs that Rush plays in this DVD. I purchased the Rush: R30 Deluxe Edition. It comes with 2 DVDs, 2 CDs, a book on the concert and Rush's past, and 2 guitar picks that are signed by Alex Lifeson and Geddy Lee. I was very surprised with the Deluxe Edition. It is any Rush fan's dream. The special features in this Deluxe Edition are a great thing to have. There are interviews, music videos, and much much more!!
