Two days after the lock in, Justin reportedly broke down to his parents that he experienced something “evil” at the lock in. He also claimed he captured everything on tape. After watching the footage, the parents met with church leaders to discuss criminal charges they were considering filing against the church for child endangerment, neglect and torture.

Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.

The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.

There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.

In light of the overwhelmingly negative comments on here I thought I'd try and even the balance a little.Granted Chronicles of an Exorcism is not great, some of the acting is pretty ropey and obviously being no budget there's not much action. For the money though I think it's decent enough film, superior to say anything from The Asylum or a sci-fi channel original movie.I don't know what sort of idiot would think this is actually a real exorcism, there's no such thing, and even if there was the Catholic church would never in a million years allow one to be filmed. Let's face it this is an organisation whose leader thinks use of condoms increases the risk of aids.Maybe people were put off a bit by the reasonably intelligent and wordy script which discusses in depth matters of faith and also goes into some detail about exorcisms. Perhaps the reason for all the negative comments is overly sensitive religious types, however the treatment of the catholic religion in the film is in no way critical.

The movie starts with a message stating that this is actual footage by two unknown film makers which was found and has been edited for viewing. Thus suggesting that this is the real deal.Sadly within a few minutes of watching it's painfully obvious that this is just another movie in the vain of REC, The Pooh Witch (my take on the Blair Witch) etc. It's obvious because the script is so awful that it makes no sense whatsoever, such as the 'yokle' Pastor who claims to have witnessed demons before and yet thinks the best place for Tina is in a hospital! Then you have a scene where Tina has escaped in to the corn field - She keeps appearing in front of people and then walking off and the priests, while seeing which direction she went go in the completely opposite direction. It's scenes like this that almost make it a comedy! For anyone who actually believes this to be the real deal, when they get to the end credits you're presented with the cast list, the producers, directors, assistants and the message that the film is not factual and any resemblance to actual people is not intended. I found that the funniest part of the film because the viewer is led to believe this is lost footage but then you're told that it's not! If you are that desperate to waste an hour and a half of your time then go and watch the grass the grow! For God's sake, do not put yourself through the torture of watching this rubbish.

...this is probably the worst movie I've watched in a year or so. I was excited by the title, but within 5 minutes it was plainly obvious that this was not a documentary, it wasn't even a film based on a true story. The actors were amateurs, and unconvincing to say the very least. Needless to say, I skipped through the movie to find more unbelievable claptrap and ended my viewing in under 10 minutes. I usually persevere through most movies - but this really was unbearable. I'd told my wife it was a real documentary, to scare her a little - imagine my embarrassment when we started watching it, and it was so poor. Do yourself a favour and avoid it!

Man, was I disappointed. From the first 5 minutes it was painfully obvious that this is a Blair Witch knock off with abysmal production values, horrendous acting and a predictable plot line.Like an idiot, I actually believed that this may be a true story but it is obvious this is a bad film school project with a marketing budget. The 3 leads are way too young for their roles as 'wise men of the cloth'. Their acting is wooden, distracted and unbelievable. And unless Satan is only possessing underwear models, the girl is just too pretty to be believable. (Watching her overact and writhe in her flimsy outfit was the only highlight of this movie.) I'm all for independent movies and I give the cast credit for making a valiant effort, but the fact that they are passing this off as 'true' and as 'documentary' is freaking absurd. Satan himself probably would be embarrassed to be in this movie.Plus, as a Catholic, I resent them trying to make a quick buck off of impersonating priests (badly) and trying to put their spin on what they believe an exorcism is.In spite of being offended, I can safely say that even if I was Jewish, Buddhist or a Muslim I would not like this movie. I've seen scarier things on YouTube. The worst part was the hackneyed, predictable ending that WE ALL SAW COMING A MILE AWAY. You don't have to be Nostradamus to be able to predict this ending.I've seen Dental Hygiene movies with more entertainment value.Seriously, other than the hot girl this movie isn't just bad, it is ANTI entertaining. I feel bad for giving this movie such a bad review, but it really deserves it.
