Good , But It Is Overrated By Some

This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.

Blistering performances.

I found this movie lacking and above all sad. It has all the necessary elements(like the darkness and crazy teens)for a decent movie but if the SCREENPLAY is as bad as it was, then this movie is just a bunch of hot boys and girls talking to each other in scenes that last longer than my mind can keep up.In a nutshell...screenplay bad, scenes to long that end up coming back to bore you again...Not watchable. Do Not Recommend.By the way, I blame the bad acting on the directors and producers because I know Drew Fuller to be a decent actor. I do however recommend to read an article of the true story...far more interesting.

In 1996, in Eustis, Florida, the parents of two girls are found brutally murdered at their home by the oldest daughter, Jeni Wendorf (Stacy Hogue), and the other one, Heather Ann Wendorf (Kelly Krueger), is missing. A further investigation discloses to the police that a group of Gothic deranged teenagers that worships vampires were responsible for the slaughter of the Wendorf family. The former boyfriend of Heather and also very evil and sick Roderick Justin Farrell (Drew Fuller), the leader, has killed Rick and Ruth Wendorf trying to open the gates of hell for him. "Vampire Clan" is a violent and weird drama, based on a true story, having a well developed screenplay and characters and an excellent soundtrack. The low user rating of this movie is caused by the wrong idea of the genre that the title gives to the viewer. My family and I were expecting to see a horror movie, but it is indeed a drama. Even the genre in IMDb need to be corrected. Therefore, the target viewer is not reached, and persons that expect to see a horror movie becomes frustrated. I just rented this movie last night,And In my opinion Monkeys on typewriters could have done a MUCH better job. I am from Eustis Florida the place the murders took place, I actually knew Rod Ferrel very well before he moved to Kentucky. My first problem with the movie is, it wasn't even filmed anywhere near Eustis. Also Rod Ferrel was not a handsome short haired guy, he had long hair and in my opinion is very ugly, also he was like 10 times crazier than they made him seem on the movie, i mean the guy actually thought he was a Vampire how crazy is that. None of the actors in the movie where any good, and the story left out a lot of details, it seemed to me that they didn't do very good research about the crimes and rushed making it, I think the movie could have been much better and I'm VERY disappointed and would like my money back.

Alright. SO it sounded good. It started to look good, while we watched it it seemed good and then it ended. It ended and the story didn't even really start. So i guess the massive problem with this movie is that of Terror Toons... the camera lense was off and the sound was on. Who in their right minds would read the script for this movie and say "oh gosh! I love it!" and then have the balls to go and actually film it?!?!? This movie sucked. Stay AWAY FROM IT!!!!!!!! IF you see this in the video store and say that it looks interesting run... run before its toooooooo late! GO NOW! Don't SEE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its not worth your time or your money. even if its free to rent... don't GET THIS FILM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT SUCKED MASSIVE CULO!!!!!!
