That was an excellent one.

Admirable film.
This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
I didn't know what to expect from this,it sounded like a good TV movie.I think it started off OK.As the movie went on, I was getting a bit bored now and again Liked how they explained, how the people died, and the twist or what ever you want call it.I thought that twist was really good. it did cross my mind during the movie but I dismissed it.Cool ending , decent TV movie Not scary or anything but still somd- what enjoyable With some decent acting for a TV movie. 5 out of 10
Back in the mid-1970s there was quite a bit of interest in the Bermuda Triangle, and a few movies were made about the subject. In my opinion, this is the best of those films.Kim Novak (who is absolutely beautiful here) is involved in a sailing trip through the Bermuda Triangle. There are lots of sinister goings-on, and Novak eventually needs to be rescued by Coast Guard Capt McClure and his crew.Good photography, beautiful scenery and great work by Novak and McClure lift this film above the usual 1970s TV movie standards. I won't ruin the ending, but it still scares me, 36 years later! Hold on to something and watch this, but you've been warned about the unexpected, bizarre, and very scary ending. Not for the faint of heart.
This movie is by far the scariest movie I saw as a kid. Me and my brother still talk about it..I was 9 when I saw it..I am in my 40's now! Some have referred to Kim Novak's sinister smile, and one referred to her chuckle. I remember it as the sinister smile and then a sinister laugh that got louder and louder as the pilot looked on in shock and fought with the controls. What an incredible twist ending! What an amazing thing this director was able to do with this lasting impression on us! I can't believe it was so hard for me to find the name of this movie and this discussion on it! I am glad I found it and am going to try hard to get a copy of it.
I saw this move for the first time in 1975 and lost several nights of sleep. I saw it again in 1976 at age 16 with the same affect. I have tried everywhere to locate it to no avail. The local TV stations could not help (although I don't think they tried to hard.)The previous commentaries sum the movie up pretty well, I don't think my two cents will add much more.I must comment on the ending scene however...pure genius, creepy and terrifying, I still remember that scene as though I had just turned off the TV. I hope we can convince someone to make it available to us.This web sight is very helpfull at least now we have more information on the actors etc. Paul Plymouth Mass U.S.A.
