Purely Joyful Movie!
This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.
There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
Out of all the found footage horror films i've seen, this one at least kept me entertained from start to finish, plot was good and it continued to build throughout the film, didn't take an hour and 30 minutes for anything to happen like the blair witch project, i really enjoyed it, Acting was good not great but the story was a lot of fun and completely had me sold from the beginning to end, it didn't rely on jump scares like most of these found footage horror movies do and it was creepy as all hell, not sure why all the horrible reviews i thought it was great. I would recommend this movie to anyone not looking for the next Oscar winner but just a late night good old fashion horror flick that is as intense as can be from start to finish
I don't like watching movies that are 95% dark. This one of many pictures with that feature. Just like Area 51. Please make movies to watch not a dark screen Very bad camera technique. Reasonable actors Storyline is not good but the performance very bad Stop making films that are 95% dark. Watching the movie make me dizzy because of the erratic camera movement. Its a pity because I like the story. But makers think making dark movies is artistic. Its the baddest technique for viewers. If they like this technique then must use it in your own family film and don't bother the public with dark and moving camera pictures. Using light is not a sin
If you're like me, who just love scary movies for simply just being scary, then this one is for you. I don't care if the movie is inaccurate, for god sake it's just a movie (fiction, duh). But I love how it was made. Acting was decent. Location was so creepy specially those tunnels! Some of the "found footage" nowadays are just plain boring, but this one reminded me how this type of movies became my guilty pleasures. It's like Blair Witch Project but with Cannibalism, which in my opinion made it even more scary. It is 7/10 but I am giving it a 10 here because some people are giving it a low score it doesn't deserve. Worth a watch!
The film uses a documentary style look to achieve a feeling of realism. I have seen all forms of horror films & this one is well thought-out and very well done. From beginning till end you have no idea whats about to happen. That is very rare for stories now a days cause most fit a very tired & true story line that you can predict whats suppose to happen next. Ghoul follows its own method of meddling fact & fiction into what turns out to be not entirely original but thats also part of its strength cause you get sucked in with a bit of "oh this looks like its from this movie or they're using the same idea as Blair witch" Don't be fouled it looks similar but by the end you will be unnerved like never before. You've been warned! See this film because its a true modern day masterpiece of terror. Take someone you want to get close too cause they'll be in your lap by films end. I went alone & paid the price of not sleeping & having every noise send me into a panic for several days afterward.
