As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.
The acting in this movie is really good.
Unshakable, witty and deeply felt, the film will be paying emotional dividends for a long, long time.
This is an extraordinary film. From the original concept of the novel on which it is based (one night @ the call center), the story by Chetan Bhagat but especially the masterful creation and direction of the film by Atul Agnihotri. From the opening moments until the final scene, the audience was fully engaged. I was completely lost in the world that Atul Agnihotri had created. This is not a story that has been told and retold, hashed and rehashed. It is fresh and engaging - all at once quickly moving, romantic, violent, culturally insightful, desperate and slightly fantastic. There are some comic elements to the film but to describe it as a "comedy" seems inappropriate. I think word of mouth will give it lift off! Too bad it's a limited run. Somebody need to get behind this movie, if for no other reason than it has all the makings of a great, classic feel everything movie.Thank you Atul and all involved. You made magic!
i think that the promos made the movie look a little more mysterious and exciting then it actually was. It takes a little while to actually get the movie started and i feel they could have done a little better. Also, they could have had some more parts to do with salman khan and katrina kaif as they were hardly in the movie. The setting of the movie is pretty good however, thescript was a little weak. There is a short song in this movie which goes something like this "When you love me it feels so right only in your arms tonight I wanna feel you next to me holding me so tight love me love hold me hold me" does anyone know the artist of that song or the name of the song or is just another part of the movie?
I just knew that this was based around a few characters who work in a call centre and nothing else and having had some experience in working in one, I thought it would be interesting to watch. The story is told to a protagonist rock star by an unknown woman and is based around three women and three men who work in a call centre. The story itself takes place during one night and each character reveals their problems whether it is their love life, marriage problem or any other problems, which also includes the prospects of all of them loosing their jobs as the centre belongs to an American based company and the manager of this centre is extremely keen on moving to the USA.Starring Sohail Khan, Amrita Arora, Sharman Joshi, Isha Koppikar, Sharat Saxena, Gul Panag, Dalip Tahil, Suresh Menon and Rishi Nijawan. While Arbaaz Khan, Salaman Khan and Katrina Kaif make special and guest appearances The movie is directed and co written by Atul Agnihotri and written by Chetan Bhagat and is based on his book entitled "One Night At Call Centre." Sajid Wajid provide the music score. This has some flaws which are conspicuous and stare at you through the screen. A good example is whenever time shown - for example 0.09 is shown as 12.09am that is incorrect and should be shown as 0.09 and there's no need of having "am." Another flaw was that each person who works at a call centre knows their shift patterns but here, each of the six receives a call to inform them that it is their time to be on the job. The third flaw was that there are so many breaks during the shift and also whenever they want, which the floor manager on duty would not permit even though it may be at a time when there are not many calls coming in. Talent has been wasted in this movie, which also goes onto criticise mostly the Americans a lot. There was no need of Salman Khan's character, as a rock star, who, like Shah Rukh Khan, in "Om Shanti Om," removes his shirt and in what way it is connected to the story just does not make any sense and the music can be considered as too loud and does not support the movie in any way whatsoever. Lastly, there was no need for a character such as god (and I am no blaspheming) to tell a story, which leads me to write: Katrina Kaif "Tussi Great Nahin Ho." Conclusion: Not worth wasting time and more importantly, in this time of financial crisis that is engulfing the world, don't waste your money on this.
basic concept is 6 call center employees got a phone call one night.this is not a ordinary call it's from god..now why god call him?..what he told him?..does it change their life or not?..thats a plot of movie.Concept is nice...but unnecessary inserted songs and very unnatural acting makes one of the worst movie of Indian film history..Salmon khan and Katrina made a special appearance. Salmon khan is himself and Katrina told a story to Salmon while Salmon have to wait in waiting room for 2 hours until a chopper get repaired.film describes the back-story of each character until interval...and at the end no impact remains on audience mind at all.
