Simple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.

While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.

"The Quest for R2-D2" is another Star Wars themed Lego animation style short film and it was made 6 years ago by Peder Pedersen from Denmark, the home of Lego toys. You have to say in his favor that, back then, this style was not really as popular as it is today after the huge success of the Lego movie. Anyway, I am not a great Star Wars fan and I am not too much into Lego, so I may be a bit biased here, but I did not think this was a particularly entertaining or funny watch. Despite not liking Star Wars as much as most do, I always had a soft spot for the character of R2-D2 and it's nice to see him get his own movie here. Unfortunately (or maybe luckily), this movie is only 5 minutes long and that does include the credits already. All in all, only worth a watch for the biggest Star Wars fans. I was not impressed and have to give this one a thumbs-down.
