Load of rubbish!!
How sad is this?
Fantastic!
Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.
Review: Some of the sketches were funny but it was the greatest stand-up performance. I liked the way the DVD was compiled because there is footage of Kevin Hart visiting his old town and there's a little Reservoir Dogs tribute near the end which was quite funny. I'm not a massive fan of Kevin Hart's movies because he does become slightly annoying after a while, but his stand-up is much better. This particular performance deals with various personal family issues which were quite funny but not as amusing as Delirious or Raw. In all, it's not a bad watch but I have seen better. Watchable!Round-Up: Ride Along, starring Kevin Hart and Ice Cube, could have been a much better movie if Kevin Hart didn't have verbal diarrhoea throughout the movie. His other projects like About Last Night and Think Like A Man also show the annoying side of Kevin Harts comedy but he wasn't that bad in Grudge Match. Like a lot of comedians, they seem to get type-casted in the early stage of there careers so I would like to see him do more serious roles in the near future.I recommend this movie to people who are into there stand-up comedies starring Kevin Hart, talking about various family topics. 5/10
Funny, yes, and rather interesting, the stories retold to us. First time with Kevin Hart for your information. As an actor, I can judge, to an extent of course, Kevin Hart acting out his speech as apparent. As a comedian, he is getting somewhere but may saturate soon due to the level and diversity of comedy. This one in particular did not fail to impress of course, but is limited to a higher potential. Overly used punchlines honestly speaking. Some comedies, for example those of Russel Peters may be watched multiple times or at least are guaranteed to make you laugh even after a few years upon rediscovery of the video or a past memory, while this particular act, not so much. Good for the moment, but classic jokes being created or similar are not to be seen. Kevin Hart is correct that I would say "ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT, ALRIIIIIIGHT, you gonna learn today!" at random times for no apparent reason, but this only continued for one and a half days hence it is exemplified that, though good, was not something to cherish to a great extent. This can be recommended to others as everyone has a different quotient with respect to sense of humor.
Golly gee and goodness gracious me. How bad can one guy be? I mean really! I wasn't expecting too much when i went to watch this and it turns out my expectations were too high. The "comedy" is bad and i mean really bad. I'm not sure if its an American thing (I'm Australian) and by that, i mean, that you would have to live in America to get the "jokes" but i didn't find it funny at all. I gave up after 30 mins. Surely if i hadn't laughed once by then i wouldn't be laughing at all. Don't get me wrong though, America has some good comedians out there. And in previous years I particularly enjoyed Richard Pryor and also Eddie Murphy in concert. But Kevin Hart just isn't funny. If its that easy to make a lot of money but spruiking about everyday living then everyone over there should get on stage. It would be a riot of laughs.
You know you're are on an elite level when you can put you stand-up in theaters and sell it out. I went to see "Laugh at My Pain" in Ontario, CA and the theater was packed. I've seen Kevin Hart live a couple of time and he was amazing! Seeing the this at the movies I say was just as amazing. What made up for it not being live was the huge screen so you felt as if you were front row at the show. I would recommend this to anyone who loves comedy to see. I'm sure I will see this at least one more time before it leaves theaters. Anyone who has already seen Kevin Hart before I'm sure they already saw this because you just can't get enough of this guy.
