This started off as quite an interesting chiller. It sort of changed and then became really confused. Not confusing as I was switched on and concentrating, it was confused. It stopped adding up if you thought about it in the slightest detail. The idea was interesting. It was let down by poor logic and lack of anything believable. It was like all of the people were murderers about a year ago. The ending didn't really make sense although the very final bit was pretty cool and interesting. Make no effort to see this as it is lacking although the odd chilling moments and early potential can be enjoyed.

Shallow Ground is nothing but collection of stupid scenes that should be scary. But none of them are. I just don't know how to start disparage this movie. The film is just one big absurdity. The plot in this movie is like the essay of pupil. Lady loses the family because of new dam. Her husband and daughter dies when new dam is constructed ( It is interesting, what the hell her daughter had to do with dam development ). Then the old lady starts to kill family members of builders, engineers and etc. Then her victims cooperates and reborn as a boy. That boy ( somehow he is always bloody ) pursues the family members of killed humans ( remember that the boy consists of these victims ). We can see that boy almost in every shot, he always walks around, but almost no one can see him. Also he loves to make the blood come out of his nose and eyes. And also he writes graffiti with blood. And he has the ability to make trees and leaves bleed. There are several shots where boy and murders victims are covered with ants and other bugs. I don't know what should that mean. So, dead people, in shape of little boy, scares nearest relatives. In the end of the movie this boy finally realizes that he should scary not his devoted friends but his killer. Then he kills old lady very tellingly, but then, this lady transforms into super zombie creature and kills the boy more cruelly than he did. If you did not understand what i just said, then you can feel like you already saw this movie. So, I made my point about plot. Now, I would like to name some facts that i learned in this film.1. The best way to do everything safe is to tell your friends that they can't go anywhere alone. Then you leave them in the precinct with suspect and go to find out where this suspect came from.2. If you want to find out where the suspect came from, you need to go alone.3. The best way to see what the dude in cell did, is to step in the puddle of blood.4. If you want, that the policeman find the killer, you have to take his co-worker hostage.5. When you have a hostage, you should always grind your revolver into hostage leg, while your hostage is driving. There is no matter, that you are in the middle of forest at night.6. If old lady is angry, she can kill anybody. Then she binds her victim and loads it high into the tree (there is no matter that sometimes old lady kills males that should be hard to rise up).7. Zombies can make the electricity disappear. That's enough. So, as you can see, this film is crap. I am disappointed that such films have a rating 5.3 .I did not gave it 1 just because i gave 1 for "SHARKMAN", that still remains the biggest junk of all horror movies.I hope you will read this before you see this movie.Remember, I warned you.Sorry about my English

Sheriff Jack Shephard (Timothy Murphy) is in the middle of packing up and leaving town, when a mysterious blood-covered naked boy finds his way into the almost shutdown police station clutching a hunting knife. Now her and his deputies must figure out where the boy came from & what to do with him. The officers seem uncommonly nonchalant given the situations in the film, a small quibble perhaps, but I found that it took me out of the film. Willing to plow on because I found the story intriguing in some small way And it turned out to be a suitable enough time-waster, nothing great, but the ending was really, really bad and the writer/ director dropped the ball on that one.Eye Candy: Natalie Avital & Tara Killian both get topless (but the situations aren't titillating); a lot of naked man ass for the girls My Grade: C-

While preparing to shutdown a sheriff's station in the woods, the deputies Stuart Dempsey (Stan Kirsch) and Laura Russell (Lindsey Stoddart) are surprised by a naked teenager covered in blood and with a hunt knife in his hand. The boy is arrested and Sheriff Jack Sheppard (Timothy V. Murphy) is summoned by his assistant. While investigating the identity of the boy, Jack hopes to solve the disappearance of many people in the area, including his girlfriend. When the identity of the boy is disclosed, the mystery increases. The beginning of "Shallow Ground" is promising and intriguing, and I recalled the "X-Files" series. Unfortunately, in a certain moment, it seems that director and writer Sheldon Wilson lost the control of his creation and the story goes nowhere, becoming very confused and having an unsatisfactory and disappointing resolution. In the end, there are three plots: the lead one, about the old lady that lost her husband and daughter in the dam, blames everybody and "builds" a new family of her own: the secondary one is about the torment sheriff , that suffers for not having saved the blond girl. The third one is about a drug dealer that was executed in the city. For some unexplained reason, the dead seek revenge, and all the people killed in the woods somehow combines in one gore being. The same happens with the drug dealer. But why so much complication, wouldn't it be easier if the boy had gone directly to the killer's house and stop her crimes the same way the dealer did with the officer that shot him? The last scene is simply an awful hook for a possible sequel. My vote is six.Title (Brazil): "Terra Rasa" ("Shallow Ground")
