It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.
It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
It’s sentimental, ridiculously long and only occasionally funny
It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.
Rated R for strong violence and gore, sexuality and language I have not seen the first two Night Of The Demons movies but I want to.I am the type of person that can enjoy an action or horror movie with bad acting and storyline...if there is tons of mindless action or mindless gore. This movie has bad reviews on this site because people are expecting an Oscar-worthy movie. Its just a fun horror flick with tons of gore, sex and nudity.I hate PG-13 rated horror movies like "The Grudge".The best horror movies are the cheap ones with bad acting and are filled with gore! The movie is about a group of teens on Halloween night who pick up hitchhikers who are planning on going to a party. They stop off at a convenient store but the crazy one of the group, wounds the store-owner and kills some officers. They seek refuge in a haunted house owned by a demon-woman.One by one, they all get turned into demons.Night Of The Demons III is a fun horror flick that's recommended for fans of gory horror films.
Third outing in the series and , amazingly, nobody has thought of demolishing the house and having a priest pee all over the foundations (or something suitable that would destroy the evil). This time the house is visited by a van full of teens who are on the run from the law. Some of them are on from the law, at least, and some of them are just caught up in the middle of things. Unsurprisingly, Angela welcomes in the new blood with open arms. This has just as much fun with the gore and the death as the previous two movies but it takes a step down with the level of acting throughout. Almost everyone involved here is pretty poor and it's not surprising that you won't recognise any of the faces. What is surprising is that the third outing in this series is still almost as much fun just because of the freedom and opportunities provided by the central idea. This may be the one I'd not choose to watch again but I certainly wouldn't mind if it ever did appear on my TV and I was distracted by it.
Judging by the IMDb ratings and reviews, I think I must be the only person who feels that 'Night of the Demons 3' is the best of the trilogy. That is not to say that I think it is a great filmjust the best of a bad bunch.A group of teenagers wrongly believe that they have wasted a policeman in a Quicky Mart shootout and seek refuge at Hull House, the possessed property from the first two movies. They are killed one-by-one, returning from the dead as hideous demons. A recently retired policeman is searching for them, but will he find them before it is too late?Unlike the first two films, this one is competently directed, fairly well acted and even foregoes most of the juvenile comedy of its predecessors to concentrate on creepy scenes and genuinely freaky moments. Director Jim Kaufman manages to deliver some pretty good action (the convenience store shootout is a well conceived set-piece) and occasional scares. The babe quality isn't quite up to that of the previous movies, and the gore quotient is slightly less, but this didn't seem to matter since the story rattled along at a fairly decent pace.'Night of the Demons 3' won't win any awards for originality, but, accompanied by a few beers, it passes the time quite nicely.
"Night of the Demons THREE" is pretty much identical to "Night of the Demons ONE" and "Night of the Demons TWO" but, seriously, who cares? Don't tell me you were looking for breathtaking suspense or intellectual plotting, because you just know you won't find it here! Kevin Tenney, who directed the original but only wrote this sequel, delivers exactly what we expect of him: shallow teenager characters stuck in banal situations, a bit of playful sleaze and an enormous amount of cheesy make-up effects. The silly tone is illustrated very early in the movie already, when two girls compare the size of their breasts, as they're getting ready for the Halloween school prom! The car breaks down on the way over, but the naughty kids in school offer them a ride in their van. Then, under the false impression of having killed a policeman during a clumsy incident at a night shop, the group gets the luminous idea of fleeing to Hull House, where the sexy demon Angela welcomes them with wide open arms. The dialogs and one-liners are a lot less witty than in "Night of the Demons 2", but the pacing is fast and the death-sequences looked gruesome enough to me. Female über-demon Angela (Amelia Kinkade) doesn't look as irresistible anymore as she did in the late 80's, but she still tries to convince us of her sexual powers by demonstrating what oral sex of her would look like (on a pistol!). There's really no point in going on and on about how dumb and redundant this movie is. Instead, you better bring out a six-pack of beers and invite some friends.
