All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

0/10 ... The only value this movie has is in the fact that it's so awful it's hilarious, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't "meant to be"...Anyone saying this movie is good/great, probably secretly worked on the movie... because it's almost impossible to make a movie worse than this...This is far worse than the Japanese drift series of movies called "Drift", of which I own like 8 or 9 of... at least their scenes are real, not CGI... even though they just speed up the video, ha-ha...The acting is HORRIBLEMost race/crash scenes are CGI and look so fake, I'm pretty sure a child could do better...The girl who they try to make seem knowledgeable sound about cars sounds hilariously stupid... somehow she changed tho timing in about 1-2 seconds on a rotary engine?? what the... it's like they aren't even trying...The story could be kind of entertaining if it had a big budget... good actors etc... and the music was okay... but this movie was absolute *^%$... Fast Five was 10 times better easily... and this doesn't compare even remotely to Fast and the Furious movies...I could go on and on about the flaws, the bull..lingo about cars... the blatant ignorance of car knowledge by whoever wrote this... the awful wording of the dialogue... along with the bad acting... bloody heck this movie was awful... though I had a lot of fun making fun of it...

God this movie is terrible. First off since when does a stock Nissan 350z cost 80 grand and have the same top speed specs as a Nissan GTR? Or when the girl mechanic says that the rx7 timing has been changed. How would one know the timing was changed in two seconds. Or what about those sketchy drift scenes that change from a Mazda RX7 to a Nissan 240sx? not to mention the action scenes that look like grand trismo on my Playstation 1. This movie is absolutely horrid! Oh and not to mention on my netflix description it states that the main character builds a Datsun 240z to race a drug dealer. Haha there wasn't a single Datsun in this entire film!? One star for sure I would recommend this movie to a stoner with lots of free time.

So if a bunch of College film students, got drunk, watched Fast and Furious, then pooled together their remaining beer money to make a movie, this would be the result. My kid's 4th grade play had better acting. And I'm pretty sure that all the car knowledge used in this movie was definitely obtained by watching a hodge-podge of car flicks and just saying what they could remember. The 30 year old kids with the 40 year old stripper for a Mom was pretty interesting too......I enjoyed the Sega Genesis quality computer graphics used for the races and crashes, and learned that a Nissan can be rolled several times, and when you pick it up from the impound, it just has some dents on the side.I cannot begin to tell you all of the things said in this movie that are ridiculous, but I will give you my favorite moment......The hotshot female mechanic, and her two lackeys close the hood on a custom MX5/RX7/240 car, (dunno how to explain that one, I think it's a transformer...) and the as the two lackeys work the mystery of hood pins, she actually tells the amazing driver that "...these hold it down so it doesn't pop up."

I watched this on Netflix cause I thought it would be good among other available movies there to watch. Now, I won't completely shoot it down because the basic storyline was okay and comprehendible (unlike inception where I couldn't ever tell what really was going on most the time), it made sense and had a happy ending. The dialog could have been written better. The abundant use of Nissans got me excited in the beginning, as i am a fan of Nissan cars. On the downside the computer generated effects were pretty unfinished, you could definitely tell when they occurred (looked like the 3d rendering animation). The car details where inaccurate, the 370z looks more like a 350z when crashed. It's later reffered to as an $80k car, which in real life they're $30-40k. I'm Also pretty sure that it would not fare that well against a GTR in real life, the 370z comes stock with about 330hp, the GTR is stock with 530hp and out-performed the Lexus LFA in a race I believe Motortrend organized. The other car was definitely not an MX-5.
