An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power
July. 28,2017 PGA decade after An Inconvenient Truth brought climate change into the heart of popular culture comes the riveting and rousing follow-up that shows just how close we are to a real energy revolution. Vice President Al Gore continues his tireless fight, traveling around the world training an army of climate champions and influencing international climate policy. Cameras follow him behind the scenes—in moments private and public, funny and poignant—as he pursues the empowering notion that while the stakes have never been higher, the perils of climate change can be overcome with human ingenuity and passion.

One of my all time favorites.
Fantastic!
Awesome Movie
It’s an especially fun movie from a director and cast who are clearly having a good time allowing themselves to let loose.
A thought provoking doc on what is a pretty serious problem facing us all. It's pretty mad to destroy your one and only home for some green paper but there you go, man is a moron. By the way, to understand all the critics google "The Merchants of Doubt". There you'll see how big business is spreading discord about climate change.
From strictly a movie appreciation perspective the only thing I didn't like about this was it seemed to focused on Al-Gore, which is fine but if you compare it to Leanardo's D's Before the Flood I found the pacing and information better presented in that one then Truth to Power. I think this would have been way better with less focus on Gore. But having said that it was a compelling documentary. From a climate change perspective/new information it wasn't too bad but I have been absorbing information about this for that last few years so there wasn't a lot of new information for me here so nothing was too shocking.Interesting to see some of the other reviews, and how hard some people are denying it all, I understand where the denial is coming from it is a scary topic with massive unpredictable outcomes for all of us, it is much more "convenient" to deny than to accept. I for one am glad this movie was made and will continue to support activism when it comes to climate change.
Al Gore is not a climate scientist. He is a Tax Farmer. He's been one his entire career. Over sixty years ago we were taught in junior high that science is never settled, as Gore proclaims. There are laws of science, such as gravity, but that's another subject. I refer you to Wikipedia's "Scientific Method" for more information. In the meantime, hold on to your wallet.
A powerful documentary which is lacking in definitive facts. The first 20 minutes are spot on showing alarming symptoms of climate change, but most of the rest are merely political maneuverings and false promises straight from Gore's propaganda machine. Both global warming and ocean acidification are due to excessive amounts of Green-House Gasses be released into the environment. It is only through ending GHG emissions that climate change can be halted, yet Gore insists on pointing to wind & solar (which currently form a hybrid power system with piped methane gas) as the best alternatives to fossil fuels. A shame RE proponents aren't more enthusiastic about nuclear power as Gore Sr was back in the 1950's.Gore Jr's behind the scene's work at the COP21 may be admirable in intention and genius in execution, but do little to advance an actual solution to the climate change problem. Unlike the efforts of actual scientists attending Cop21 {energyforhumanity dot org/en/news-events/events/2015/efh-summary-achievements-cop21-paris}, Gore is more fluff (and personal profit) than substance.Other persons worth listening to on the subject are James Lovelock {https://youtu dot be/mYP22KfI8lw}, Bruno Comby {ecolo dot org}, and proponents of Eco-Modernism {www.ecomodernism dot org/authors}.
