Just perfect...
It's no definitive masterpiece but it's damn close.
best movie i've ever seen.
It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.
The movie starts out with some promise and actually has a plot. But eventually it becomes hard to follow the action with the camera bouncing all around. I fell asleep twice and became frustrated as I was having trouble determining who was who, and what exactly was going on. The idea that with all that was happening to her, the lead character would elect to leave her video camera on all night seems a bit far fetched. Had they managed to stick to the plot and do more character development versus sticking with the shaky camera, it would have been better.
Hacked or The Den ( what is it with these stupid alternative titles? ) is another film based around the dangers of social media. It starts very similar to Unfriended and becomes more SAW like as it progresses. The overwhelming impression I got from the film was just how banal and pointless most of social media is. Just sad people desperate for a bit of attention. Although not groundbreaking it is fairly creepy and at times disturbing and keep my attention throughout. It didn't quite go where i thought it would and unlike many horrors I thought the ending was very good. This is a very good effort for a low budget film and very effective in what it is trying to convey. Worth watching.
Not a bad flick but its about 40% BLAIR WITCH, 40% HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL and 20% Session 7 (a Canadian movie). It seams as though the story-line has been half lifted from TEEN CREAP shows. Aside from the music taken from an era like Jeepers Creepers it got its point across paralleling the old age of stalking to the new age of video that anyone with the access and proper tools can use. Geo tracking in its self good and bad these days, but it is possible they do as much hurt as good. The golden rule should be that teens and offenders not have access to be a part of these site. Further more, Any person of any kind whether is age or mental disability should be visually supervised by a caregiver or responsible adult to stop this online craziness to stopCheers.Fub
Bought this today in a second hand store, as it was a relatively new movie only a couple of years old and it was only £2 I wasn't expecting much. I was expecting to enjoy it very much as the Internet and social media is a hobby of mine and I am well versed on the goings on in the 'deep web', but this movie was pants! Some dumb American girl films people online without their permission and sooner or later she's in more trouble than she can handle. She knows that some Indian guy asking to transfer $14million into your account and give you a $1million for doing it is a scam but she's not smart enough NOT to open an email attachment from a stranger, really!? I might watch it again, or I might try and sell the DVD back to Cex. More than likely it is one of those DVDs I'll only get a penny for selling.
